Premier League to Improve Discipline with Points Deductions

I know our thoughts are far from the Premier League right now, but the league table looks more interesting when points are deducted for red and yellow cards.

See it here:
http://thedailyskid.com/2014/01/20/prem ... penalties/

David Moyes, manager of mid-table Manchester United, was not happy with the plan, “This is giving the referees even more control of the football match, as if they haven’t been against me all season already. I know everyone loves us so there isn’t a person in this country who won’t agree with that statement. Please, don’t give the refs more power than they already have.”

The other article you posted wasn't funny either.

How is it even meant to be funny that Crystal Palace go up seven places, for example? It's meant to be interesting. There's no need to tell us every time you come across something that isn't funny.

I presume that you [sjsref] are aware that the 'article' in question is a skit, a satire?
Which begs the question as to why you aren't presenting it as such. Presumably because it isn't very funny. I don't even think the really strange ones amongst us (you know who you are, Clappers  ) would raise a titter on its bedraggled behalf.
Which brings us to why then you think it 'interesting': surely it could only be interesting if it showed us something interesting or displayed an interesting fact, or made us aware of some interesting consequence that follows from this particular mind game?
The fact is it's as uninteresting as it's unfunny. Arguably it's more uninteresting than it's unfunny.

You're right, I'm not presenting it as satirical. Or as fact. I said "the league table looks more interesting when points are deducted for red and yellow cards". I don't see the point in any "No it isn't" posts! I didn't realise I'd found a forum for people who all agree about everything.

The best comment though is the one that implies a person who hasn't posted a link can't be criticised! I find that interesting too, but obviously I'm wrong.

I'll be posting more links. This is fascinating.

What are you going for? Third time lucky that it might be amusing.

Your stuff is crap, the site you link to is crap. Post as much as you want, mods permitting but if I think it's crap I will let you know.

And I repeat, on what basis does it look 'interesting' seeing as it is a skit and nobody is really thinking of doing it and the league table can be made oh so more interesting in other ways, for example if you replace all the current teams with teams that only play basketball for instance? :?

Ouch! Go on, drag me in to it, I don't care. But no, I didn't find it funny.
