1-0 to the underdogs at half time. Good hard fought game with Athletico shading it. Bale and Ronaldo done nothing so far except Bale missing the best chance of the match. Like Casilas but he was way at fault for the goal in his positioning. Ramos, as ever, having a blinder. Ariel diving displays typically Spanish, sort of a combination of Cirque de Soliel and the Red Arrows.

I don't give a hoot about Spanish football, couldn't care less who wins, but this game is really good. Gripping. Fair play to both sides.
