He's claiming that the Ethics Committee, set up BY HIM with the apparent twin aims of investigating ethical breaches and always finding that anything he did was fine & dandy, has no right to be judging him !!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:He thinks he's suspended for 8 years and how very dare them. He's the president don't they knowLost Leopard Spot wrote:8 year ban from the sport for Blatter and Platini.
Is that all?
He says the only way, as President, he can be disciplined is by the whole membership body. Thus 8nvolving fckg dozens of people he's personally "helped" over the years.
Anyway, 8 years. Should have been more ... could have been less.
He'll be dead by then I'm hoping.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

He'll still be pulling strings. All these sponsors who claim to be so hell bent against the corruption will still be telling him where the next tournament will be, so they can focus their sales on a particular region, knowing that he will be distributing the rewards still.bobo the clown wrote:He's claiming that the Ethics Committee, set up BY HIM with the apparent twin aims of investigating ethical breaches and always finding that anything he did was fine & dandy, has no right to be judging him !!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:He thinks he's suspended for 8 years and how very dare them. What the Dickens is a 'disloyal payment'?
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: FIFA ... bent, corrupt, double-dealing, cynical barstewa
I found this simplified definition on the Guardian -
Under Swiss law, a payment is classified disloyal if it is against the best interest of the employer - in this case Fifa.

Well, here's a thing. Blatter is replaced by a lawyer from ......... Switzerland. A bloke brought into his current role by ....... Sepp Blatter.
& one who initially only stood so that he could stand down when Platini, his friend, was free to regain his place in the lineup.
Phew. That's a relief.

Re: FIFA ... bent, corrupt, double-dealing, cynical barstewa
Basically FIFA is Fckd (what a tee-shirt that would be) and is too corrupt to clear its own house out. I'd personally prefer to see it imploded by countries leaving & setting up a fresh one, but that's a few years off, I guess.

We have to have the charade of cleaning up the corruption first. The only thing we fans can do is boycott anything world cup related - matches, sponsors etc etc. It's like the fans moaning about Sky moving matches. Half of them will be subscribed to Sky

He was born in a village six miles from where Sepp Blatter was born. That says enough for me, you know, it being a world wide organisation and everything...

He's only been voted for one reason.. He'll continue in the same way as the previous dictator..Lost Leopard Spot wrote:He was born in a village six miles from where Sepp Blatter was born. That says enough for me, you know, it being a world wide organisation and everything...
The only way it will change, is to remove EVERY SINGLE executive member and start again

I tend to tearing up the whole thing and starting again with a completely new organisation.boltonboris wrote:He's only been voted for one reason.. But ^^ your option is more practical maybe.

Platini has announced he's going to resign after his ban appeal fails. Resign???!?!?!?! What's happened to "sacked"?

Well, THIS is uplifting.

It seems they've learnt fckg nothing. Not that I thought they would but it's still sad to see.
AND the Senegalese no-tail appointed yesterday was imposed onto the committee with not even a nod to process. Infantino certainly learnt a lot from his friend.
The proper people involved should just walk away.
