FIFA Women's World Cup

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Thought I'd be the only saddo watching women's football on Saturday night. It's a wee bit better than against France. One or two are really trying. like the Scott girl's commitment. Kirby, Bronze and Houghton are putting the effort in.

Here's a confession, I loved it. Everything that mens football has forgotten about, effort, entusiasm, fighting spirit and a will to win. Cheered like a bastard when the second went in. Bonkers celebrations. Save me a seat for the next round. :oyea:

Ha, who cares? You think the Mexicans would admit they were offside if that had been reversed. I'll take it..

Aye, but every bugger knows they don't understand the offside rule.

To be honest it should be on the "General Banter" pages anyway.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

See, I'm visually imagining this team of blokes, you, Bobo, etc, etc, getting totally thrashed by the England women's team about 12-nil, bring it on......

I don't think Bobo would mind a damned good thrashing by the England women's team.

Playing football however....................

2-0 up a half time against Colombia for anyone who's pretending they don't care.

Decent first half there, although dont expect the same from this half. Although too much high pitch screaming for my liking

Why did they bring the one with the white mohican on? I saw one shot at goal and she gave the ball away 37 times. Seemed more concerned with making sure she didn't head the ball. Some decent players but one or two I'd drop.
