Fair play to him, but I’d have struggled to recognise it as the CL anthem had it not been pointed out.

If you're quick, you could still go to the European Super League website...

Quote from European Super League...
"Despite the announced departure of the English clubs, forced to take such decisions due to the pressure put on them, we are convinced our proposal is fully aligned with European law and regulations as was demonstrated today [Tuesday] by a court decision to protect the Super League from third party actions"
Which bit of the message from fans are they missing? How tone deaf can you be? Whilst I'm sure both sides were blowing the dust of their respective legal teams, pretty much NONE of the outcry was around whether it was legal or not...

Its a battle between the Spanish clubs and UEFA. Spanish clubs won an injunction (or something like that) yesterday to prevent UEFA taking any sanctions against them until the court heard the full details.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 9:54 amQuote from European Super League...

Yes, I know. The point I'm making is, the outcry wasn't really about whether the ESL was "legal"...I don't think most fans cared if it was legal or not.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:12 amIts a battle between the Spanish clubs and UEFA. Isn't their point - the English clubs might care about the outcry but we don't and we think its legal so there...?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:13 amYes, I know. I know that isn't their point. That's why I asked which bit of the message from fans were they missing. Their point is "it's all above board", fans point was "we don't want it period - don't care whether it's legal"BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:30 amIsn't their point - the English clubs might care about the outcry but we don't and we think its legal so there...?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:13 amYes, I know. And without so little as a modicum of irony, up pops Gianni Infantino: "FIFA is an organisation that is built on the true values of sport".

Just watching SSN. Apparently your CEO spoke to CEO’s of the other 14 clubs today and was given something of a dressing down by more than one. Hardly surprising when his excuse was FOMO!Gooner Girl wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 11:07 pmhttps://arseblog.news/2021/04/josh-kroe ... m=facebook

Re: European Finals.
They've certainly played the Hitler's Generals card early. There's no point in explaining that the "American model for sport (NFL/NBA)" they want to follow has come from somewhere other than Americans. It's come from some Americans who've convinced some doddery old men they can save the world. I'm referring specifically to Perez. How paranoid is he? Apparently he knows who sent the "Chelsea Mob" to Stamford Bridge. He knows who orchestrated the Europe-wide "outcry". What's he fcuking smoking? The outcry was spontaneous.

Re: European Finals.
Its revealing (though not surprising) how when they talk about what global fans....European fans and English fans want as separate entities with different desires that this is how they're really thinking. They don't really care what Arsenal fans who pay up to go to the Emirates week in week out want. They were probably surprised at how fan complaints became major news and were championed by pretty much everyone including politicians and the government. But deep down its obvious they don't care.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 9:38 amThey've certainly played the Hitler's Generals card early. As ever it blows my mind that ultra capitalists as soon as they hit a bump in the road want the system to be rigged in their favour. The same people who scream about how social democratic economies are terrible and the free market should dictate everything, are the first to scream about ensuring the free market is rigged to suit them and if it isn't they throw their toys out the pram.

No comment on the lack of social distancing but making their voices heard tonight before our game.

Re: European Finals.
City and Utd are sorted unfortunately but it'll be bloody marvellous if the other 4 'elite' clubs all miss out on next year's CL. Karma

That would mean West Ham get in, so I’m very much torn.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 2:43 pmCity and Utd are sorted unfortunately but it'll be bloody marvellous if the other 4 'elite' clubs all miss out on next year's CL. Karma
