Grealish for Mount please.
Re: European Finals.
Exaxtly that. We're second best, but could still snatch it with him on. Philips or mount.

So far so bad
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

He has. But the problem is we haven’t the quality in the centre of the park and therefore we’ve not been able to have quality possession. You can’t play at the tempo we did for the first twenty all game and then Italy’s midfield just battered ours. But for all they’ve been dominant we can still win this. One chance. Just one.

We should be much more threatening from set pieces than we are.

I truly hope that another generation doesn’t suffer the hurt of 1990 now. We’ve had a superb tournament. Tonight we’ve been outplayed but we’ve hung in there.
For me we deserve it. But football doesn’t work like that.

Re: European Finals.
Easy to say in hindsight but the last three takers were asking for misses. Three players never looked like scoring. Not sure about someone sitting in a bench for two hours doing nothing then being asked to take a penalty.
And no way should Saka have taken one lad looked shot all night.
It’s 1990 again. Except in fairness we’ve lost on penalties to a team that has outplayed us, rather than the other way round.

Re: European Finals.
Appalling penalties. But Italy deserved it. Simple as that. Great effort to get to the final.

Re: European Finals.
I have to question the decision to send a nineteen-year-old off to take such a crucial penalty kick.
What an absolute gut punch.

Re: European Finals.
What I said at the start of the tournament did come back to bite us in the end. The played like heroes but Rice and Phillips for all they did are just not a midfield that is versatile or good enough to play against Verrati etc and Italy exploited that.
Re: European Finals.
Hardly, they scored a scabby goal, and we lost by giving penalties to two guys who had just come off the bench and a 19-yo who shouldn't have been on the pitchBWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 10:59 pmWhat I said at the start of the tournament did come back to bite us in the end. Bizarre selection of penalty takers. Think he's called lots right through the tournament. Italy deserved it over the match.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 10:56 pmEasy to say in hindsight but the last three takers were asking for misses. Three players never looked like scoring.
