Hope it works out for them - they have been through the mill. Top half finish would be an improvement!
Good luck to them.
To be fair, I only know because a company I used to work for was based there. I have absolutely no idea where Wealdstone is though![]()

So they're losing a million pounds a month and the fans are accusing them of doing it on the cheap? Jeezofficer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 10:29 pmPreston update which tells you how hard the championship is:

Modern football fan innit. ‘Why aren’t you buying our way to the premiership’. I get it Preston fans are frustrated because most clubs of their size who have been in the championship have had a tilt at the premiership and they haven’t.boltonboris wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 10:14 amSo they're losing a million pounds a month and the fans are accusing them of doing it on the cheap? And don’t look like doing so.
But it’s probably a case of careful what you wish for. Anyone rich and/or daft enough to propel them forward is likely to be a short term thing and we’ve seen the peril in that.
We all say now we’d like to be a well run championship club like Preston. But if we end up there eventually for 5 years we will have fans saying exactly the same thing.

I love our owners but I’m not sure they are in it to pump a million quid in a month. We can’t even compete with Preston financially!
