A knighthood for Beckham

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Who would be thrilled? Not me but there have been worse people knighted. A lot worse.

Don't really mind. Seems broadly a good egg and a lot were badly advised and caught up in Ingenious (loool at that being reported as if they'd "won" their case) so given he's settled I don't mind it from that point of view.

His people were less than complimentary when he missed out last time. Him and his talentless wife have been chasing the coin and the fame ever since they hooked up, I suppose this was inevitable.

IMO It's about time we knocked the whole archaic honours system on the head.

Tony fecking Blair? Can you believe that?

I'm all in favour of the person whose managed a school crossing patrol in all weathers for 30 years getting recognition here, but Tony Blair's on his way to the Palace when he should be on his way to Den fecking Haag!

Will the subsequent tea on the lawn prawn sandwiches and all that party, and travel expenses and hotel fees be paid by the recipients, Her Maj, or the tax-payers.? Just wondering...
