Just watched MOTD2 Extra. Big props to Alan Shearer for finally picking up on the 'West Ham way' question .

'What is that?' 'When did they last win anything?'

I just hope when he leaves there they appoint Di Canio amid much jubilation and then sink like a stone, playing to quarter-full Olympic stadium in the bottom half of the Championship.

Well, quite. I was talking to my West Ham supporting friend yesterday (may seem long winded but calling him an Iron seems, well, wrong) and telling him they are now reaping the rewards of sticking with Sam and seeing what a bloody good manager he is.

Sticks in his craw that he has to admit I'm right.

I'd much rather they returned to the West Ham way, tbh.

Haha. Indeed. Had to run someone to Robin Hood this avvo who asked if we could listen to Talk Shitandpiss. An incandescent Terry from Essex was notably conspicuous by his absence.

The consensus from a small (but vocal) group down here is that the board are just biding their time to get rid of Allardyce and appoint a top (top) manager who will take them into the Champions League in time for their new stadium.

Allardyce is still not liked by the majority, apparently. But has their grudging respect.

Just spotted on West Ham forum, KUMB. These muppets defy description.

I think its quite difficult to understand the ethos of the club if you are an outsider. The outside world hate the fact that little old West Ham have the famous white horse final 1923, won the war cup, won the World cup, the Academy, 71 Bobby Moore in goal, 80 cup final, ICF, 85/6 , Villa Park semi, Berkovic/Hartson, Boogers Dicanio, Manygate, 2006 FA cup, Kia, Icelandics, Tevez,Sulivan/Gold..

They hate it good or bad we are always in the news. It makes supporting West Ham interesting. Its an absolute roller coaster and its impossible to get off.

Whilst the North of England are seeing the south becoming stronger every year they try to put us down. How dare little old West Ham join the elite.

Be careful for what you wish for media...

 magnificent.

Playing the West Ham way (so, in the Champo) to 20,000 in the Olympic Stadium would be ace!

Allardyce just got them into Europe too. Top of the Fair Play League - who'd have thunk it?

The irony here is tangible. So, four days after sacking Allardyce and telling him to take his dirty, cheating, industrial football with him, they qualify for Europe via the fair play league. Wankers to a man.
