Ha! In my excitement of asking the question I didnt look for an answer.
Getting ready to go here, point would be no bad result at all. Any scoreline that starts Oldham 0 please.

Derik starts. So does Dervite. And Pratley. No Madine or ATaylor.
Hmm. I think this must be a system change. If it's a back three, that means Derik's in midfield with Spearing, Pratley and Vela (and Moxey and Morais). Only one nominated forward, so I wonder if it's a return to 4231?
Dervite-Wheater-Beevers-Moxey
----------Derik-Spearing-----------
Morais-------Pratley---------Vela
-----------------ALF-----------------
(Pratley could be wide left in his old role as a quasi target-man tasked with getting in behind the right-back)
Oooh! Exciting! Over to you, Mr Sheridan, match up with that...

Tower are hinting at communication problems....? We really don't need that. I think it's that new-fangled radio thing, they're use to communicating with bows and arrows in Oldham.

I'm racked with a feeling that appears to be a cross between nervous tension and excitement. Maybe it's just apprehension.
Whatever it is, I'll go for a very hard-fought 2-1 win to us.

Mic man relating that the pitch is a "disgrace"....Come what may, we're Whites forever, always have been, always will be. All about fight and attitude today, a real landmark game and one that can decide so much. The other have done, now it's our turn.

It'll probably be like most of our games. Hitting them on the break but struggling to score. I would hope that Beevers or Wheater will climb majestically into the air like a salmon and nod one in 'cos Pratley can't hit a barn door even off his arse.

I recognise the feeling, mate. I get it before I do a gig, or a presentation, or a play, or a big game for the team I coach. I think the best word for it is "anticipation"; it's out of your hands as long as you're sure you've done everything you can. In this case, that's up to Parky, and I can't name a manager we could have who'd have them better prepared and focused.
Fear is the absence of faith; faith is the absence of fear. I have faith that we will get promoted. That may not be the case, but if so, life will be sad then; why make life sad now?
So now, we sit back and try to enjoy. COYWM.

Feet doing a Fred Astaire under my seat, dog's disappeared confused by not going for his afternoon walk till later, brew's in place and I've had toast and boiled egg to try and squash the butterflies. All geared up, shoes Dubbin'ed (because they're watering the pitch like there's no tomorrow, says our mic man. Four and a half thousand faithful in Boundary Park and we're good to go.....

Chris Price telling about technical difficulties galore. Sound is like he's shouting in a biscuit tin in Echo Canyon....lads in all White.
And away we go.....

That's good enough for me. It's just the regular pre-match nerves amplified by what's at stake, I expect.
They're due a defeat at home so let's make sure that we're the ones who inflict it.

And we go visiting.....and they clear. Goal kick us now and....we have a bit of possession in their half and get a throw. Morais crosses and.....and....it all ends up back with Howard. They get a free kick. Ripley and....they visit and get a cross in. Wheats clears for a throw. A shot goes in from them and then they have a corner. And.....some scuffling in the box and...we get a goal kick......Be nice if we could start early and get in front rather than later. They clear an attack from us and....Alf gets decked in the box but the ref gives a goal kick. Wallop from them and it comes right to Howard. Wallop back and....some chat, then....Dervite clears, then Moxey. Alf and....it's a goal kick. Quick dash and shot from Irwin then its to and fro again.

Throw from Moxey and.....they clear and we start again. Pratley can't conrol it and it's a goal kick them. Get in there quick lads and stamp a bit of authority on it. Throw them and..Spearing and.....a throw us...and a bit of mic chat then.....some useless information then....they get a free kick off Pratley. Morais goes, Alf, and....they clear....Moxey....and a throw to us. Moxey and....and....they scramble it clear. Come on lads, get in there. They clear, we get anotherthrow. Vela now and...gets another throw. And....Morais and.....and....Spearing, Morais again and....too long. Goal kick them. The astonishing Mr Ripley wallops one then the ref gives them a free kick. That's a surprise......wallop then....we clear but back they come. We clear for a throw them and it all ends in a goal kick us.
