By my reckoning - and although Parky hates this sort of thing - we need 15 points from our last 7 games to go up. Alright, 16 mathematically, but not unless Fleetwood make up 9 goals on us (nobody else can catch us if we get another 15 points).
I know I'm going to regret posting this, but I think 12pts will be enough. That would leave Fleetwood having to secure 19pts from their final seven games. Bradford would have to win all of their seven. No one else would be able to catch us.

Think 12 will be enough. Think less may be enough. Someone behind us might go on a run yet, but they are running out of time.

Draw tomorrow between Bradford and Scunny would be great. That or a Scunny win I guess.

Yeah - would be pretty happy with a draw - 1 point each + a game in hand for us...

I think we will need way less than 12. 10 will be enough, maybe as low as 8 imho. Fleetwood don't look like they are going to come close to winning every game in their run in, and to get to 85 points they would need to go W5 D1 L1 from their last 7 games. Bradford would have to W6 D1. Scunthorpe win every game. No one else can get there. It would not surprise me if 83 is enough..

Yep. Let's get past 85 though just to be sure.

Big game next week. Chesterfield look pretty doomed. But might park the bus.

After that we have our two (on paper) toughest games, away at Southend and Scunny. Win against Chesterfield and win either at Southend or Scunny and I think we are virtually there.

Oh I so enjoyed that!!! What a win...and when Beevers went into the crowd to celebrate with us it was magic :)
On a bad note, how are the three injured players? They didn't look good when they went off :(

They had the best home form in the league since the turn of the year, and with us facing the prospect of possibly having to rest players who might not be match fit, I thought that we could well have dropped points today. I can't quite express how happy I am to have been proven wrong, particularly with our ever bitter neighbours doing us a favour as well.

I'm trying my very best not to get carried away with the recent upturn in results, but by Christ it's no use.

That said, is there any news yet on Madine, Taylor and Alnwick's injuries? Should they be fit for Saturday, and therefore the rest of the campaign, I think that we'll probably be alright.

Without them, it might be closer than I'd like.

Madine says that he's okay, apparently. The other two, maybe not.

Heard Parky's post match interview. Alnwick done knee ligaments. Doesn't sound good.

Taylor is a calf injury. Again seems relatively serious.

Madine is his groin which has been injured all season and they've been nursing him through. Parky said they took him off before doing any major damage so sounds more precautionary.

Not too fussed about Alnwick, they're much of a muchness. Taylor is bad, both how good he is and bad Moxey. Looking forward to Long and Alf, think they'll be a good pair but would rather Madine were fit. We don't have anyone else to play off in the same way.

Shame about Alnwick if what I'm hearing is to be true. That being said I thought the same when Howard got injured so I'm thankful we've got two quite similarly competent goalies at the back to cover.

Taylor seems the intriguing one. Anyone have any updates?

Think Alnwick is the biggest loss at this stage potentially. Both are good shot stoppers, but Alnwick has proven very good in the air on set pieces in recent weeks. Will be a miss and brining a keeper in from the cold at this stage far from ideal.

I mean Moxey is a weak link but one might argue he is marginally more suited to wing back at least going forward than Taylor is.

As an aside watching the Scunny Bradford game, Scunthorpe look awful. Can't defend set pieces. Which is something to note for a couple of weeks time :).
