5,4,3,2,1... Chesterfield (H) 1/4/2017

Five pounds a ticket, four packed stands, three valuable points, two hungry teams, one worthy winner?

Hopefully they don't make an April Fool of us.

That intro deserves a win!

We're Bolton Wanderers. We never do it the easy way. Would be lovely to canter to a 3-0 win but I expect a re-run of the Northampton game. A nervy 2-1 win

Seven games to go, six points clear of Fleetwood. :D

The big crowd adds a lot of expectation on the result of this game. Win and I will breath a huge sigh of relief. I might even have hope ....

Hopefully the cheap ticket offer and large crowd isn't setting ourselves up for a fall. I hope that all this isn't putting unnecessary extra pressure onto this game. Didn't something like that happen in our last promotion season at home to Grimsby or sommat. Or am I misremembering

It is a great idea so I hope the players really rise to the occasion.

We drew to Grimsby in front of 24k

We lost to Blackburn and Fulham in front of around 23k

Seem to remember a game v someone else like Norwich where there was a community offer on and we didn't win

In fact, from memory, whenever he had big gates outside the Prem, we didn't fare well until recently. But this is a different side and I think it will have a positive impact on the players

He absolutely is!
This lot we are playing have had 1 win in 13 or summat. Part of me does think oh typical bwfc to balls it up, but there is a bit of steel and character to this side.

Definitley important we win our home games, and looking forward to a good crowd as well.

Not been this nervous since walking out at the Macron to dance in front of Bolton and Sheffield fans at a night match last season. I thought that was the ultimate in nerves; this is on a par. Keep control lads and bag the three points...please....COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

That was an Allardyce side. I don't think it lacked bottle.

Hopefully it will spur us on and not put too much pressure on.

I can see where you're coming from. Logic dictates that we should beat them comfortably, but it would be a very Bolton thing to inexplicably balls it up and get beat in front of an expectant crowd. I don't think that we will, though.

I don't think the Spireites manager will be reading this site right now, so it's safe to talk tactics. They will be so screwed up worrying about set pieces that not all of our goals will come from them. Wheats and Beevers will both score, but the icing on the cake will come from a volley of shots from midfield. Morais will cut in and get at least one himself and Vela may well get a hat-trick. Four or five goals should be enough, no point in being greedy. A resounding win for the SuperWhites then. COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

I've not seen them win for ages. Going to this one. Apologies in advance. Went to chesterfield away. Can't be that bad again. Looking back at that game, I think some players had psychologically already left. So, this time it's good to read that Alf wants to sign permanently. I'm here so we'll lose and it'll rain a lot!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Much depends on promotion I think,A.W, but Morais also would like to stay with us . We've done some of the hard work and if we ever have a chance to really grab our opportunity, it's surely now, like starting today.... :D
