Looking much better than the previous games. Morais and Armstrong have made a difference although no clear cut chance yet. Madine yet to get into the game. Karacan having a good game and the defense very solid. A deflection brought out a brilliant save from Howard being the one chance for the Brum.

We do look the better team and apart from Dervite, we are looking for a pass with Armstrong dropping deep to give the midfield options. Dervite continues to drop the ball in no mans land. A chance will come and hopefully we will take it.

First half actually sounded like we gave as good as we got, although caution needed for their breaks. We have got forward and Armstrong really sounds to have put one in, being a bit unlucky with a deft turn and shot that was only just wide. Mic lads reckon an encouraging first half with Howrd and Madine worthy of mention. Barnsley and Forest are drawing and Sheffield are one up. Ipswich are 3-2 up on Millwall at the break. Brew time.

Off again, a bit of possesion and.....and....Morais crosed, keeper dropped it and we almost got in there. We go forth again, Taylor and Burke send it forth. A wallop gives them a throw. Madine, Pratley, Morais and....ohhhhh Armstrong heads just wide.

An almost if Armstrong had headed cleaner. Dervite clears, they clear, to and fro and we get it back. Tentatively, the mic man reckons the homers are a bit shaky right now. That social media stuff again, then Madoma? dives into the box but gets a yellow for his trouble. Well done ref. We clear, they sally, Pratley sends it forth. Offside gets us a free kick.

Playing it to feet which is nice to see.

Is Dervite scared of the championship?

Ipswich obviously haven't read the script about how tough a place Millwall is - they're 3-2 up there at HT, which is good news for us.

Among other potential relegation rivals:
Burton are 1-0 down at Boro
Barnsley are being held 1-1 by Forest at home
Brentford are losing 1-0 at home to Bristol City, but are exceedingly unlucky: they've had 69% possession and 13 shots to BCFC's 1
Brentford have equalised, Barnsley are beating Forest. Millwall still 3-2 behind, Burton now 2-0 down.

As it stands, we can wonder if /when we can start to count Aston Villa as a relegation rival: after getting one point from their first two games, they've just gone 1-0 down at Reading.

Madine, Taylor and....Morais hits a deflected shot for a corner. Morais and......and.....in and....a header from Beevers is cleared. We are knocking on the door claims micman. And again we get a corner, they clear and....Armstrong and....and..Cullen and....Jem and...it ends in a throw deep down. Taylor big throw and.....and.....Jem, them, Pratley and he hits one over the stand. They set off at us and....pass it out for our throw. Wallop, forth it goes and Pratley gives a free kick away. Ref brings it back for moving ball then a throw again. Time for a goal lads.......a throw and....Pratley and....they get it clear. Cullen and....Robertson manages to block Armstrong's shot. Surely we must score soon....Burke clears, we get a halfway free kick. Calls for Alfie before....Burke brings it forth. Kem, Cullen, ......and Dervite doesn't do well..apparently, although micman 2 blames Pratley. Mention also of Buckley as Madine hobbles off ...temporarily? Parky speaks to Wilbraham.....Madine walks about. Magoma sallies forth and....Taylor clear. Madine returns and we get a free kick. 62 mins played. They sally and Donaldson Wigans one, thankfully. Homers sally again and they have a bit of possession. Back again with Cotterill and Morais clears for a corner. Home fans rumble and grumble, Howard punches, Madine clears with a good header. Mic lads have another chat about this and that then.....they sally at us again and win a throw.
They keep trying and Cotterill comes twice. We have to concede a corner after a bit of a scramble. And....we clear as Parky slates the defence.

Alfie on for Arma (70)

By the way, Villa 2-0 down now... no respecter of reputations, this division...

Goal kick them as Alf replaces Armstrong after good praise from the mic lads. Throw them now and....Pratley steps in and wins us a throw back. They try again, Burke clears, we send it away. Cotteril is being busy for them and...we get a goal kick. Don't run out of steam lads as Vassell comes on as the homers last sub to replace Donaldson. Morais feeds Pratley but he can't keep it in. Seems the homers have sent a goalscorer on and they win an early corner. And....it's headed over .

Madine has been rather ineffective tonight.

Fifteen or so left, they get a free kick but go offside. Cullen gettin g good words from micman as we get a throw down their end. And....Taylor and....ohhh, Stockdale saves a header fron Madine...Morais corner then a free for all gets them a free kick. Very near for us there...apparently. We get a free kick for Gardner on Burke. 20,016 crowd with 1000 faithfull. We go, but it just fails from Cullen (Juke is playing for them, by the way) . Now then, time for our goal lads. Make all that hard work pay. Handball gives us a free kick. Morais and.....and....Burke and....ohhhhh keeper stops a shot and they break. Throw us as the homers moan and groan at the ref. Stockdale clears and they sally again. Burke steps in and clears but Pratley goes down to no avail. Mic man reckons no foul. Beeversa clears, they return it and Howard wallops for nought. Little and Willbraham appear on the line.....Cullen loses it, they break and...Vassel and....Beevers clears for a throw. Eight to go and Vassel,s cross is cleared as Madine leaves the fray. They sally and we win a free kick with six plus to go. Can we nick it now?

COME ON LADS....get that winner. Mic lads saying a right result....Morais sends it in and....keeper clears. Pratley shields it to Howard. Them, us, them, Burke, Morais, Burke clears. Jem and Pratley go forth and....Morais and...Cullen.....Morais gets a throw. Does Morais get carded for time wating? They come and win a throw all from a bad Dervite clearance. And....in and....a corner them with teo plkus stoppage and....it's a goalkick us. Wallop, cleared, Pratley does well and Cullen wins a free kick. A wallop into tje box now and....they clear and Cullen scrambles it clear. They try again and.....now Alf....and ref makes a bad call as mic lads boo. Throw us off a deflection.....We charge in on goal and get a free kick. Morais weighing it up. And.......and....and cleared and Jem clears for us. Throw them and....some homer fans head for the exits.....Alf, Morais.....and...they get a goal kick. Big wallop them and Dervite heads clear. We go, Willbraham loses out, Burke steps up, we sally and...they clear. Beevers clears but they get a free kick in a real bad area, almost on the box edge. Come on lads, not now.......and....the wall does its work as we get another away point. Adios.

Solid point. Now onto Saturday. Sounded like we bossed much of the game but couldn't find a finish?

One good thing to come out of that is we can add another team that may be in the bottom 3 as Brum look abysmal.

Sounds like a bit of a missed opportunity. Had chances, but didn't take them. Such is life.

Still two away points, in our first two away matches. That is half the total away points we amassed in this league last time.

Next three league games look scary though, probably be bottom after those. Hopefully a few back from injury after that.
