David Wheater hang your head in shame. Terrible defending. Even for a Bolton player.

We were sounding back in it, but that was a break and wallop. We haven't had a shot for a while. What's the score with Vela? Madine gets a yellow late Christmas card. The Longs fella leaves for ????? Freee kick them and they sally forth. Christie and...Robbo now and....no support. Sammi tries, Leadbeeter recovers, they lose out..mic man chats about scores....Prats loses out, then Beevers sends one. Buckley and....too near the keeper. Robbo, Henry, Vela .....and a deflection gets to Sammi, but it comes to naught. Gaol kick them as their fans have a sing.

We try agai but they intercept and sally at us. Wheats gets a bit frisky but gets away with a throw to them. 16 mins to go. We could still do this...but not like that. Free kick then and...Wheats gets a challenge in but they get the kick. Scores going for us a bit (thankfully) as Madine leaves the fray and Wilbraham emerges from a duvet. Sammi now and..Buckley. Downing clears for a throw to us. We could still do something magical here....Little and....they get a free kick as we nip down Bury Road....

Meanwhile, at the Riverside, Joanna not giving me hope (yet) but I'm still hoping.....we win a corner and....Vela and.....in and headed clear to Little. In and...Leadbetter (who must be a shout for MOTM) clears again. Randolph wallops and....they sally but Ben tries a matching wallop. Ben again and....Sammi and....we win a throw. Friend has a moan, we have a throw and...they sally. Friend tries one and Henry sands it forth. Sammi, Robbo....loses out to Downing. And we just about have time to score three..ahem....Free kick them now and.......short and Christy and...Bamford. Prat wins a foul and is this is? Henry, Buckley...who gets another free kick and.....and......in and ohh, keeper misses it but manages to scramble it. Five to go. Come on.....

Josh Vela has been abysmal today. If he is going then let everybody know as there is clearly something going on in the lad's head.

We don't seem to have had a single decent chance since Madine's missed header. Poor.very poor.

Always going to be a tough one oh, wait, we go to Gigglane....and back again. Ben wallop time as four mins added announced. Here we go. Wheats free kick and....and...Ben wallops it and....Wilbraham can't get any force on a shot. A Boro wallop now and back to him. Wheat, Henry, Beever, long to Wilbrahan and.......Wheats gets his Christmas card and they get a kick on the line almost via Friend. And......and.....we clear ...eventually. Sammi goes valiently, takes a quick free kick and....we get a late corner. Come on Whites and....Vela and...over the top. Three mins left and is that enough time to score three? Well, maybe not then....but we could get two.......er, Little clears badly. Fans sing, mic man mumbles aboiut United. Friend takes a throw, Gibson, flicked...Henry play square and......slips up and a shot whistles past. Sammi, stoll trying....Wilbraham....and we win a corner. Robbo and....and....that's it folks. 2-0 loss.

Nowt lost - nowt gained in the overall scheme of things as we've lost a game that we can have expected to, when those around us have all lost their games too.

We have only looked like winning an away game once in half a season - surely at some point the manager has to get some serious flak doesn’t he?

We were never in the game. Noone was a failure, and Ameobi, who played on the left due to Noone's presence, looked uncomfortable. Vela again missing in action for probably the fifth game straight. We definitely need a CM player who can keep the ball to play off Madine who was out of the game today.

Henry and Pratley worked hard in midfield and I thought Beever had a good game. All teams around us lost so thats good I suppose. Will KA be able to improve us in January? He has to if we are to stay in this division.

It sounds like Ken has noticed that some people are voting with their feet, so I'm curious if/when anything will change. It's possible there is some kind of plan for January. I'm sure there's not the money to buy a big name but there may be some kind of plan, right?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Anybody confirm/deny this as a summary?
Sounds like we played a good side with an organised defence, on their turf. We lost to a good goal on the break and an unlucky deflection off Wheater's shoulder. We had some play at the end but by then it was over with. We weren't overwhelmed but the difference in legue positions tells the tale. Vela sounded right off the mark all match and our front runners need somebody to get them forward faster. Same old, same old about a front man with no support, that's been a problem for a long time. In short, we need a playmaker.

On the "not as bad as it might be" side, despite losing we're no worse off than before the game. A win/two could still make a big difference to us and a bit of January transfer luck could see a change of fortune.....or is that all wrong?

Don't think we had a shot on target.

Watched it on my phone. We played better than we did when they came to the Macron earlier in the season. Then, they completely overran us. However, with Pratley and Henry, we were much more solid and organised in this match. We chased them higher up the pitch and never gave their players too much time on the ball.

At no time though, did it look like we gave them anything to worry about. It was just a matter of time before we wilted under their pressure. We need more quality in our team.
