I'm tuning in to Radio Tango, stuck in the middle of Ashdown Forest in a pub that only sells Badger and Fursty Ferrett, with more in-laws than you can shake a stick at.
This is going to be an afternoon to forget and I'm working hard on that right now...

Is that a 3-5-2?
Probably not. Maybe 1.9.1....
Or 10-0-1
I can see that being plan A

Whites will probably be in, er, Imperial Purple, the colour of emperors...ahem....and the homers in the familiar red, black and white. So then, big crowd in, pitch apparently in great nick and away we go. We have a bit of posession then give it away. Duffy robbed by Prats, but that ends in a throw us. And, Morais and....some scores...and then...and Madine gets a ribald good afternoon from the home fans. Prats wins a free kick. Morais, back in from Wheats, but the homers get a free kick near their box. Mic men haver a quick chat then we set off, they recover it and we break before O'Connel's ball comes to naught. A wallop ball from Ben, then we sally via Morias....Henry, Robinsone and....we win a corner. "Lovely skill;s from Robinson" says mic man. And.....corner in and....we get it across the box but Wheats nod had no support. Throw us....

We sally, Prats tries to get it in, but they clear it away. Not too much support up front, but we seem to be doing okay. Madine gets a free kick. 1000 faithful in evidence claims mic man, then.....we press a bit more and...Wheats gets done for a foul. The free kick sails and....we get a goal kick. A Ben wallop scythes through the white rose bushes. They sally at us, Prats gets it, they recover and it goes back to their keeper. Positive enough words from the mic box so far. Alf can't get in there and Sharp gets a mention but a bit of to and fro gets knocked out for a corner by Wheats. Get that Sharp fella marked. Out, in, cleared and Alf goes and gets hacked down...but no cigar. Mic lads reckon he should have had a free kick. Now ends up back for another Ben Wallop.

Oh....a bit of exceitement involving Madine and Alf after a dodgy back pass. They clear, Ben gets in and frees Alf ...who wins a corner. Mailman sends it forth and...heads and tails before they clear. We go offside and they get the punt. We're not sounding to be overwhelmed so far and their keeper ends it forth. Morais clears, doesn't get a free kick again and.....Henry gets a challenge in, then Robinson and...a bit of a scramble and we clear.

Ref seems to be giving us no late Christmas presents as Madine gets bumped to no avail. And....they sally forth....and Burke clears for a throw. They cross one and we knock it forth and Robinson almost set us off. To Bury stuff...then.....back to football. Cullen, Madine, good cross and....cleared. Chat about this and that, then......we score...1-0 :oyea:

They sally, Burke and Cullen clear and back we come......bit of a scramble, they clear and set forth. Fans apparently not exstatic....Robinson again and....they clear. Robinson getting good words, Madine getting no toffee apple from the ref. Prats also getting the good words. Throw now and....some scores that matter not......then....Alf....Cullen...Morais....and he thought it was a corner. Madine now and.....gets chopped again to no avail. Sounds likle he's doing a "Kev" on their defenders.
They sally, som back and forth....some possession and....Morais tackles. Ben grabs a cross and calms it. Robbo goes, great cross, they get in a block and now alf gets Chopped like a Farnworth council tree and they get a card. Free kick in a good spot. Mailman......and.......flicked away for a corner. This sounds pretty decent and......in and......and.....cleared for another. We go to Bury....and back again and....Mailman now and....outswinger, cleared, Madine gets nailed for a soft challenge and they get a free.

Iles: "Fleck booked for a stamp on Le Fondre - that could have been a red!"

Isn't Fleck the wee nice person who wiped out Thorpe in this game last year?

So, a sub for them and then we go via Alf. He wins a throw as Baldock replaces Carter. And...a amic chat, then....they clear twice, Robinson clears for a throw them. Pratley getting all over the pitch apparently. Prats now, Madine...they clear and break. Some scores, then.....Madine....Prats, Alf, they clear.....Morais does well and ses off Cullen who wins a free kick. And Cullen now. then Morais wins a free kick and.....another free kick against Madine. Hes keeping cool mic man says. Now then....Robinson gets a yellow for kicking the ball out. Throw again and.....Sharp gets clear and tries on that makes Ben make a good save and Morais clears for a corner which is cleared away. They try again and.....Duffy, Sharp, robbed. we go and win a throw.

Some scores about nowt, then Robinson concdes a throw but gets the big p[raise from mic man. They sally via Baldock and Duffy. Sharp now and....it ends in wallop land. Goal kick us. And..as orty mins click on, Sunderland go ahaead. Blades sally, we hold, Fleck, Clark......Fleck again and.....O'Connell. Mailman clears, Cullen does the same but they get a corner. Cleared for a throw and Robinson, Morrias and Alf get involved and.....ohhhh, Ben saves a belter fron Sharp...

Aye

The injury is almost like a whiplash, like he’s been in a car crash. That’s understandable when you see the force of the impact and the way he hit the floor. It’s his neck and back at the moment which are causing the issue.

Back thjey come and I hope we aren't in neutral too much. Sally, cleared, Henry and cleared again. Half time approaches and back they come. Prats back ends....er, one away..and they're doing all the pressing. They sound to be getting second balls a lot ang et a corner as i min added announced. We clear to Alf and....he wins a free kick as Baldock gets a card. Free kick on halfway and....the wistle goes. 1-0 us at the break. :oyea:

What a difference an extra striker is making.

Le Fondre has a such an attacking mindset it's great to see.

The homers will have to chase the ace and you can bet they will. Hope we stay competitive and utilise their forward momentum to open some spaces for breaks. The curtain rises on Part Two and battle commences.....sound the Deguelo...
