We'll agree to disagree on that then.Athertonian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:03 pmThing is, they aren't good enough? Can't defend and can't score goals.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 3:58 pmHere's a thing though... They are good enough given a correct formation and some direction in a side that is correctly selected. Parkinson just happens to fail to see that.Athertonian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 3:47 pmSaid it at the beginning of the season, get relegated and were a dead club. I know finances have played a major part in our decline once again but, I expected with some of those players to have done better. Parkinson at this level has not a clue.
We can all live in hope but in reality we are returning to Div one where we will find it even harder than last term. It needs a new manager with fresh ideas and a complete change of players because these lot aren't good enough.

It's a fascinating question though, and while you two don't have to agree, Ken needs to decided.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:26 pmWe'll agree to disagree on that then.Athertonian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:03 pmThing is, they aren't good enough? Either the players are good enough so the manager's not up to it, or the players aren't good enough so the manager deserves credit for us taking it to the final weekend after That Start.
Or maybe, just maybe, it's a bit of both. Parky has done better than many managers would under these circumstances, but the recent showings have been shocking and today's opening XI was a very very bad move.

Actually, just read back through your posts, and we basically agree... I was talking about the squad not this team the Pillock picked.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:26 pmWe'll agree to disagree on that then.Athertonian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:03 pmThing is, they aren't good enough? Birmingham have gone from winning to losing, FWIW (which isn't much). Reading also losing at home to Ipswich. As it stands, both will be in the final-day shake-up.

I would be a tad more optimistic if the team could score goals but, they can't. Forest won't be an easy team to beat.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:34 pmBirmingham have gone from winning to losing, FWIW (which isn't much). Reading also losing at home to Ipswich. "Final change for Wanderers as Aaron Wilbraham comes on for @karlhenry08. Looks like a 3-5-2 system for the Whites now with @moraisfilipe20 moving to centre-midfield."
Clueless.

Oh I completely agree. And as we're 3pts plus Many Goals behind both Reading and Brum, it won't materially affect us - unless the general uncertainty makes shit weird next week.Athertonian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:36 pmI would be a tad more optimistic if the team could score goals but, they can't. Let's hope that Reading lose 23-0 next week.

Clinging to the straw of wanting Villa to level against Derby, or those Ram bastards will rest their players against Barnsley.

Update
If I were Ben Alnwick I'd be genuinely wondering whether to sign the contract - he could well get a better club next season than our sorry third-tier arses.

What a lovely lovely straw. Genuinely punched the air. There's been nowt else to celebrate but we really really need Derby to be on form against Barnsley next week.

Clinging to that Villa goal.
Alnwick is one of the not-good-enough useless shithouses that are why we're down there.
Pathetic from Parky today, but think he's a major reason we've even got a chance.

And Preston aren't out of the play off equation next week, which means they might not roll over against Burton...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:47 pmWhat a lovely lovely straw. There is the small matter of us winning which at the moment is hard to see...

This has been a lifeless second half. Arguably worse than the first in that you'd think we'd be able to apply pressure at some stage. Nothing. Endless balls aimlessly dinked into the box and cleared easily.
