They'll have their usual 8 game honeymoon period first.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

So, I guess the 48 hours would be up today then? I'm agog with eager anticipation.

I heard it was going to be D-Day. Which is Monday. Or something.
Actually I think Operation Overlord took less planning and manpower than this.

"D-Day" was just my figure of speech GtE, not actually quoted anywhere. Are any of the Churchills into football management, by the way?Gary the Enfield wrote:Worthy4England wrote:So, I guess the 48 hours would be up today then? I'm agog with eager anticipation.

It was a pun TD. I was just teasing.
FWIW I have no expectation of it being today OR Monday

Beat me to it. I'm not sure this is a good move at all. I'm happy to be proven wrong, particularly if he can bring in some decent talent on loan. Personally, I think we need an 9lder, way more experienced manager who knows how to motivate players on League one wages, with League 1 mentalities.

Apparently Paddy Power have suspended betting. Which doesn't prove anything except that they don't want to lose money.
Christ, I wouldn't be confident if it were proved true. Really don't want a tyro.

He's about the 9th favourite so far. Suspect there is very little money on this market so a small bet changes the odds.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
"Ryan Giggs to leave Manchester United due to managerial desire - Sky sources" if this is the case, and he does come to us. Wouldnt be disappointed at first. If he can apply his trade just like PB has done under the guidance from Big Sam, then i'll be happy. If not, then sure ill be annoyed we hired an inexperienced manager, merely because he has a big name.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
I think Ryan Giggs is not a bad idea he will come with up to date training methods and an attacking style, he will be look up at from the kids. There is also the contacts he has in the game to bring in loan players that would probably would not give Bolton a second look. He could also attract players which would not drop down to league one for anyone else.
Yes it is a risk but so is any manager who is to say any of the other managers would bring success.
Yes he is a dirty red but so were Gowling, Kidd, etc. and they were a success in a white shirt. I would sooner see a young manager with a young team going for it than a old manager with run of the mill players giving us the same old crap!
