Parky explains why he wants to sign a good keeper. Changes in emergency loan rules.

OK. We enter the coming season after some difficult years and last year's trauma with a current time squad including the following
Amos; Moxey. Dervitte. Holding..Derick. Vela. Spearing. Davies. Pratley
Madine. Clough
With Clayton, Taylor, Wilson, Beevers to fit in. I've omitted Trotter.
Some of those will leave & some more arrive but ffs. that can produce a team which if organised & motivated should be capable of more than holding their heads up in the 3rd division.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Get your point but they should have been able to keep their heads above water last season.bobo the clown wrote:OK. We enter the coming season after some difficult years and last year's trauma with a current time squad including the following

Think the most crucial thing is we now have a manager who knows exactly what is required at the level we will be at and is under no illusions whatsoever about our current squad and its weaknesses.

Nope, but you can roll it in glitter.....

Two names on the list from todays friendly that I didn't recognise. Linus Muller (GK) and Jakob Palaner (Midfielder), not heard mention of these in Academy side. Locals on trial?
Pfffft.

They were just filling in during the week according to Iles. Helping to fill the squad out for training and games. No prospect of either signing he says.TKIZ! wrote:Two names on the list from todays friendly that I didn't recognise. In other news, Nolan has left Orient and Le Fondre is training with Cardiff's u21's after being told he isn't wanted. Staggering. Pity there's no way we could afford him now.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Probably an ageing keeper given he uses the word historic, presumably sarcastically.

What does the tweet say? If it's something like "historic name" it could be someone called Nelson or something

Cheers (can't follow his tweets as I haven't penetrated his intimate circle). Interesting indeed. Could be someone from a 'new' footballing country?

You stole that from me .... who, in turn, nicked it from Stephen Fry.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Cheers (can't follow his tweets as I haven't penetrated his intimate circle). Interesting indeed. Could be someone from a 'new' footballing country?

It sounds as though you're on the right track there, DSB. Nixon says that he's a midfielder, a current international, and it's the first time that anyone from his country has been signed by a club in England (this is all assuming that thebish's theory of 'him' being a woman is wide of the mark).Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Cheers (can't follow his tweets as I haven't penetrated his intimate circle).
