Agreed. This is exactly why I have not been going. Simple as. I will see if I want to renew my Season ticket next season. This season's season ticket has been a total waste of my money and my sanity. Feel much better staying away

Re: Two,two the Lillywhite boys.....
Because we always play so deep, breaking and attacking is a marathon rather than a sprint. It's always the same old obvious scenario week after weary week. We give the opposition a head start by never pressing high until the last twenty minutes, by which time it's usually too late are we're fighting uphill. We don't press them in their half and thus they always seem fitter than us (well, they would wouldn't they when they own a third of the pitch without effort and can almost walk around in it).We must be the most generous team in the league at giving the opposition the ball back via wallop balls. Good defenders play the ball away from danger, not just clog it and hope.
Because we never take it to them it's just enocouraging them into our box area, a fact that most ten year old fans have probably figured out, never mind every manager in the league who can't fail to know it. Bolton are a soft side who won't attack. A defensive team, defensive specialists? What use is that unless you're in the game and not two goals down? Just how long have we had no midfield to talk of that want the ball and intend attack rather then playing chess moves that inevitably go backwards? Nothing at all about has changed since we played on Pikes Lane in mud with medicine balls, goals scored are all that matters when the whistle goes. It's why we're bottom of the league yet we still persist in believing it'll all be okay. It won't.

Yesterday was one of the worst performances since we dropped out of the Prem. It was that bad.

I mean, this has been a big thing for me all season. The lack of aggression.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 10:39 amThe lack of 'gamesmanship' in the team, where players meekly accept the refs decision, or don't unsettle the opposition.dave the minion wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 6:36 pmHere.
I still am not convinced there’s a better realistic alternative out there.
As fans, we accept we don't have the most talented squad in the league. But as Sean Dyche continuously repeats at Burnley, you have to find other ways to win. We don't do that.
We could be more aggressive and show more urgency and desire - at least at home - but we don't. We just sit back and invite pressure. It's meek, submissive bullshit and it's become unacceptable to the paying punter

Re: Two,two the Lillywhite boys.....
So considering every fan ( who doesn't make excuses) knows the truth of it, what exactly has Parky go to lose by changing it? This is the most mystifying thing about it all. How many ways are there to lose? I can only think of two: the other team play/are better, get luckier, or, we give them a game, do our best and lose the fight. At least the latter is
the more acceptable and we might just do enough to save ourselves.
Dear Parky, listen to the fans; they can't all be wrong......

Well done Dave the Minion for at least being honest.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 10:39 amI'm almost incredulous at this.dave the minion wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 6:36 pmHere.

I've publicly stated I'm not going to watch another match until Parkinson is out of here.
The silence from Parkinson's supporters this weekend is profound. So where are you, BWFCi? So where are you Prufrock?
That's not a leopard!

I was at Millmoor in October, or whatever the new place is called. At 1-0 down to Rotherham, and us looking clueless, some bloke went on a loud, drunken, elongated monologue aimed at Parkinson. He outlined most of the points made on the last few pages of this thread. It was an entertaining listen.
Within seconds of his rant finishing, Doidge scored. Some kid then scrambled over about 50 seats to have a proper pop at the bloke. Finger jabbing, saliva projecting, away day aggression.
Since that day we have played 18 league games, losing 13, drawing 4 and winning just 1.
I think that was the last game I attended that gave me any kind of pleasure! Can't wait for St Andrews

Re: Two,two the Lillywhite boys.....
We had a bright start including two very good chances early on but then Connell went off injured and it sucked the life out of us - and by us I mean the collective “us”, players and supporters alike. Broadly, we're set up the right way to get the best out of the players we have but we're so devoid of (relative) technical ability that it results in an absolutely awful spectacle. And as the players' belief has dwindled, we've become an awful spectacle that isn't even yielding any proper return.
Supporting us in the present moment, none of the reasons to follow football remain. The financial problems have completely suffocated us as a football club; I no longer feel angry about it, just sad. I know that we've had troubled periods before, even dropping down to the lowest level of the football league, but this surely has to be the nadir. The only hope I have now is that the phrase “it's always darkest before the dawn” holds true and we get taken over soon (assuming that this is, in fact, the darkest it gets).

It feels like it Nicholaldo... but Scarborough 4 Bolton 0 may resonate with a few on here

We went up that season. Reckon we’re leaving it a bit late to do that...

I'm not going to become embroiled in this one.
