We'll really have to be up for this one. Stockport on T.V will be like the World Cup, not the F.A.Cup to them. No use thinking about Rotherham unless we earn it and earn it we'll have to do. Let's hope a few lessons have been learned about tightening up our
defence, because unless they have, Mr Evatt's heroes won't be bossing anything. We're good enough to win this, so let's do it. :oyea:
The lesson they will have learnt is to kick the living s*!t out of Dapo. I hope he survives in one piece.
Are we Arsenal in disguise? :-)

I've changed the thread title to "Replay" to avoid needing a new thread.

Probably not unless your name's Ronaldo..

Thinking about it, maybe an English Bar could have Sky for the tourists?

I found that the BBC blocked a lot of free proxies when I was living abroad. Maybe a free trial for a paid one? Probably a lot of faff to watch us get done over like 1993!

Apropos of not much, but mentioning watching the Whites in a Spanish bar brought back an unwanted memory of us playing United on Boxing Day back in the mists of time. I was the only Bolton supporter in a sea of plastic reds.....and we lost. I think it was Mark Hughes (Giggs?)who did the damage, but I wasn't full of Christmas cheer when I skulked out at full time.

Anyway...COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea:

County fan in peace here. I think you're slightly overestimating the importance of the game and the excitement about being on TV. This will be the second time we're on the telly this week and the third this season. Last season we had West Ham at home on TV which is a much bigger 'World Cup Final' on paper.

The league game tomorrow is much more important. We've been massively underachieving this season and now feel that we have a manager who can get us up competing where we should be with the squad we have. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have a game against a local team who I have memories of watching County play against in the past (including that Ricketts goal).

We had a great day out last Saturday and I'm looking forward to the replay, but it's nothing more than a free hit and a fun sideshow away from the most important job of getting back to the football league (where a fair few of your fans seem to forget we have spent the majority of our history). Anyway, enjoy your evening out (but not too much) those who are traveling. It should be a great atmosphere with what looks to be a 10,000+ crowd in a much more compact ground.

Nah, just banter Phil, we've lost to many worse placed teams than Stockport and you deserved the draw. Cup matches are no guide to the League games as anything can happen. What will be will be. Good luck.. :oyea:

Hi Tony,

Based on how we've played so far this season, I'd suggest that you should be disappointed with a point. However, I honestly feel we will be a completely different beast now. Rusk was way out of his depth as manager and somehow managed to get a strong squad playing like mid table fodder. Challinor will definitely get our team playing to their potential. I wouldn't use our performance so far as a barometer.

What do you make of the whole Andy Woodman saga? Do you think he's staying at Bromley?

Both Bromley and Hartlepool have put out statements saying no approach has been made for Woodman and he indicated to the supporters at the Rotherham cup game last week that he was staying. He'll be gone by next weekend.

FT Stockport 1-1 Bromley. 90th min OG equaliser for Bromley. Sarcevic anonymous. Shame we're not playing on Tuesday: they'd be knackered.

Watched it as well. Stockport much the better side but nothing special - Wednesday is a game we should be winning with ease, Scott Quigley does worry me though.

Thought Harry Forster at LWB looked really bright for Bromley.

Believe it or not, that was an improvement on most games we've played this season. Our new manager has been here less than 2 weeks and already seeing positive signs. Went away gutted that we dropped two points at the death whereas a couple of weeks ago I would have been grateful for a point.

Of course, Bolton should win comfortably on Wednesday, but with a sell out crowd and away from home there's always a chance of an upset. Magic of the cup and all that.

I'm excited for this one. Great to be back on national TV.

Would love to get a proper look at Amaechi and see Thomason get another 90 under his belt.

I'm hoping we really get at them with the confidence of the Crewe win in us.

Personally I though Sheehan was excellent against Crewe, so I’d not be dropping him.

Strongest available XI selected and hopefully a hammering doled out in front of the tv cameras.

I'd give Lee a rest. I'd rather we didn't push him to three games on the bounce and I think we could use his experience away at Wycombe.

No complaints with whatever line-up, though. We have plenty of quality to beat Stockport, it'll be about the mental side of the game as to who wins it.

Watched the Pies v Solihull last night on telly-box. They struggled for most of the game, to unlock the defence (without being "under the cosh"). We would do well to ensure we don't think this is a gimmie. If we're not up for this, we will find the distance between hero and zero is incredibly small.
