One for G.G.Here. Arsenal right back, Brooke Norton Cuffy, 18 and plays for England under 19's. Current value about 300,360 k. Skilled ball player, pacy and worth a punt I.M.O.
Excelled at Lincoln in the second half of last season and the talk seems to be that Arsenal want him around their first team this year. We also already loaned a player in his position.

So it wasn’t about playing for Rooney then. Wonder what else might have tempted him?

On we move.

No, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and thinking he might want to play for England’s record goalscorer.

The impression given is that Derby’s wage offers blew third-tier rivals away. Whether they will have changed under a new regime is open to question. But something made him join a deeply unstable club. Maybe he likes the badge.

Looks likely that’s he off to pastures new. Best of luck to the lad.

When a club comes out of admin there is a mandatory period of transfer embargo and wage restrictions. As we know from our own experience and as was confirmed to be the case for Derby yesterday. EFL kind enough to confirm it for them but never would for us so we had to rely on Ken’s words.

That would free up another squad space, right?

It's his last chance for a big contract. Fair play to him.

Yes.
And it’s a 21 man limit on outfield, overage players, yeah?

If that’s correct then it looks like we’ll have three spaces spare. I’d certainly expect at least two of them to be filled before the window closes, especially given the five substitutes rule and the extra emphasis on squad depth that should bring.

It was 22 last season. I'm assuming it'll be the same this season as we haven't been told otherwise.

I see, well I only count 18 overage outfielders on our books, so unless I’ve miscounted we’ve got a lot of wiggle room.

Ian no wanty striker.

“I think the top end of the pitch is really exciting and people keep telling me that we might need another striker, but if we keep the four we’ve got and Dapo fit and healthy and available for selection, why do we need another one?

“The more numbers that we bring in, it’s harder for me to keep everybody happy and to manage to be honest. The most important footballers in any football club are the one out of the team because they’re the ones that create the culture and environment, it’s them that you have to keep happy.”

He says the most important footballers are the ones out of the team, in his quote. I'm in that group, :D
