Ian isn’t happy with the pitch.

Interesting quotes about giving respect back. I assume it’s not just about the pitch.

As he noted after calming slightly, we have to learn to overcome suboptimal conditions. Did enough to beat Chorley but we need more. Maybe let an area of Lostock get overgrown….

Mad as it sounds this could work.

I got battered in the sim yesterday with emergency situations. Low and behold today was a lot easier due to it.

As someone still waiting at Heathrow, I’m glad to hear it :-D

Is it too much a pipe-dream that the local councils could make an allowance towards ground maintenance for lower division clubs ? It is for the benefit and reputations after all. Or is that going too far..?

Can't agree with you there, Tango. There were over 3,000 supporters at the game. Adults were paying £10. Chorley must have made £25,000 minimum. Why would the local council tax payer be expected to fund someone to cut the grass?

Can't think why the backing music is as it is!

Quite the tune, that.

Poor goal to concede from Rico and Dicko.

Good to see us scoring some headers tho and that was a lovely move for the first goal.

Max Conway is getting a decent run out in these friendlies. Are we assuming he’s now the backup LWB to Declan John?

Good question. As with Senior yesterday, I wouldn’t assume he’d still be in that position on Sep 1st, as it would be a big leap for him to play at Hillsborough or London Road or Oakwell. Squad flexibility (Sadlier, Iredale) gives us a bit more leeway and him a bit more chance though. I doubt it’s our first priority.

They're still at the point where they're only playing 45 each so they need to come up with 22 players from somewhere. I suspect it's nothing more than that, though a good opportunity to impress.

Bradley seems to have hit the ground running.

Truedat. Even when it ratchets up to 60 minutes then 75 we need to make up the numbers with subs. But it will give the senior coaching team a look at his strengths and weaknesses before he flits back to the B team.

2-2 against Stockport. Flattering to deceive a bit maybe? We seemed to have a strong side out.

Or are we perhaps underestimating the quality of the opposition? 😉

Cheers. Great strike from Bradley for his goal.
