Does anyone know about our prep for this match, long way to be sat on the coach in the build up. Did the players travel for the stay overnight?
BN:
The long journey to Home Park is hardly ideal on the back of two big home matches, but Wanderers opted to split the trip into two parts including a training session in Bristol.

“We spoke last week about the fine margins and one per cents, and this helps us immensely,” the manager explained.

“It has a huge impact, splitting the journey up and being able to train down there on the Friday. It helps things no end.

“These things aren’t cheap, so thanks to the board and Sharon [Brittan] for allowing us to do that.”

Nice one. Good to know. All depends whether they can keep professional. Didn't get the impression Lennon and Coyles crew stayed away from the beers on nights prior.

Bod misses out again through injury. Great pity.

Very interesting, that.

Interesting that Lee plays again after 90 midweek minutes. I didn't think he had it in him; I'd be delighted to be wrong.

Interesting that Kachunga plays again, this time presumably up top rather than as the 10. Bod's out but Dapo and Baka are on the bench, so it's time Kacha proved himself.

Fascinating that MJ - fit enough to be on the bench - doesn't start, when they play a 3-4-3 semi-incorporating the fashionable 'box' midfield (two attacking "inside 10s" in front of two 6/8s) - although they also use wingbacks at the expense of two forwards (Brighton won at OT with a wingbackless 3-box-3), so it's more like 3-4-2-1.

My instant fear from the latter is that we will get overrun in our defensive midfield/their attacking midfield area. It will take diligence from the midfield trio of Morley, Dempsey and Lee. Intrigued to see what shape they line up in. If it were a home game against a poor team I'd expect Morley quarterbacking behind Demps/Lee, but Argyle are no soft touches.

It’s all too selection bingo right now. Not convinced at all I’m afraid. This is a big game. How many would have left MJ out and started Kachunga? Not sure he’s getting this right.

I agree. Too many changes at once for my liking. I just don't get Kachunga. Runs around but doesn't do enough when he gets it. Don't like the look of it. Hope I'm wrong.

Thirded…
Be surprised if that XI doesn’t get torn apart away from home.

Not sure not starting Dapo is a good thing. If we manage to get ahead he could be subbed for a more defensive option later. We need an early strike. Hope I'm entirely wrong.

I'll anticipate a first half hattrick from Kachunga now to highlight my cluelessness. 😜

Charles going down in the box, either a pen or a dive. Ref gives neither. Gonna be one of those days.

Should've been a yellow..

Charles found space twice already. Failed to find Kachunga square for the first and failed to… do anything for the second. Energetic start, though.

Bradley harried their LCB brilliantly, won the ball, got a shot away, pushed wide for a corner. Not a bad opportunity, but we conceded (yet another!) foul as it curled in. Becoming an issue.

Time to change tactic perhaps and go with a short corner technique?

Nice close chance for Lee just goes wide. Great build up and blocked by (Samantha) Mumba.

Brilliant move down the left, crowned with Dion’s swivel, ended with Lee 6 yards out. Last ditch block saved a certain goal.

All that pressure and corners and suddenly one down. Got to make our pressure count.
