Just a reminder that we've a game left in less then 48 hours....Should have been tomorrow, but some parade of wealth and fashion or other edged us out. Not sure why, Bristol's nowhere near that London, but no accounting for taste. Might be that Joey was invited to join the high and mighties, who knows. Any road up, parade or no,Sunday we're off to the seaside to try and end our season with a bang...Flags at the ready then...Send us victorious... COME ON YOU WHITES......ATTACK...

Great news regarding Rico, Iredale and Bodvarsson. I suspect Rico will be back in for the Bristol City game to help him get some minutes. Not sure about Bodvarsson or Iredale but that would be a good time.
I'm a little torn over this game as to what would be a good use of the game. It's got very little riding on it, if anything it is very dependent on Derby vs Sheffield Wednesday. Sheff Wed won't want Derby getting a mental advantage going into the play offs, especially if they're likely to face them. Maybe there will be some meaty challenges flying around and a chance for Peterborough to sneak into contention. So in terms of making good use of the game, it might be good to use it as a send off, however I suspect we'll be trying to keep Trafford's goals conceded record down.
We've got a few players that are coming to the end of the season that are short of minutes. Whether that's a final send off or prepping for the play offs is debateable, but here's those that might possibly surprise us:
Dixon
Bodvarsson
N'lundulu
Iredale
Shoretire
Isgrove
Thomason
Jerome
Maybe one of the youngsters:
Khumbeni, Sithole, Toure, Lockett
It'd be nice for Isgrove to get some minutes, as with Bodvarsson and Iredale. I suspect that wouldn't upset the team too much.
I'm gonna guess we'll go with the following:
Trafford
Bradley Santos Toal Johnston John
Morley Thomason Sheehan
Adeboyejo Kacha
Bench: N'lundulu, Bodvarsson (if fit otherwise Jerome), Shoretire, Isgrove, Jones, Charles, MJ Williams
My money is on Randell, Dempsey and Lee being in contention for the playoffs, but sitting out through no fault of their own. Thomason getting the nod ahead of MJ despite MJ being a little further ahead in the pecking order going into the playoffs, be good to get him some minutes.
We need to get Adeboyejo firing and Kacha might help to do that. Would love Bodvarsson to be fit enough to get a few minutes but perhaps its a little bit further behind than we'd like. Either way I'd like to see us using this last game as a means of trying to get the alternate striking options to start firing.

Hope he has a blinder and it gets him a club for next season. Everyone's happy.

Have no problem with Dixon starting today. I expect that will be the last time we see him in BWFC colours.

I mean Trafford out the firing line is maybe a step further than I expected but yeah. We need to rest some. And whilst my hunch is finishing 5th might be slightly better it’s not clear cut enough to risk our key players for.

Pretty happy with that line-up to be honest. Better not to risk too many key players for an end of season kick about.

Got a sinking feeling that we're not going to win the league today.
Understandable having Dixon in the side. Nice sign off for the player. Perhaps we're paying for appearances for Bradley and Trafford, so it makes financial sense as well.
Few concerns over fitness levels of Santos. Notably no Bodvarsson so I suspect that's him done for the season. Massive risk bringing him into the fold in the final day.
I'd suspect Jerome's going to get some minutes today.

I sort of read from the pre-match presser, that Bod probably wasn't as close to full return than might have been deduced from the "back training" post...Mar wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 11:46 amGot a sinking feeling that we're not going to win the league today.

Quite possibly. I'd imagine if there's any chance of a reoccurrence he won't be playing in order to save his career. Still, wishful thinking on my part.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 11:50 amI sort of read from the pre-match presser, that Bod probably wasn't as close to full return than might have been deduced from the "back training" post...Mar wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 11:46 amGot a sinking feeling that we're not going to win the league today.

Bod and Iredale were ‘maybe back in full training next week’ according to Evatt. That’s what he said at his press conference. No idea why you’d think they’d have played today but I suspect at best on the bench for the play off games or maybe just the play off final.Mar wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 11:46 amGot a sinking feeling that we're not going to win the league today.

Wish I'd checked the team before paying my tenner. fecking Dixon. Hopefully the last time I ever have to watch him.
I don't like this. I'd much rather play Barnsley, and I also think it can be hard to go from last day piss about to business.

We'll be in the same situation as the rest of the teams above us then. We've seen Barnsley play rotated sides. I suspect there's a bit of a drop off there.
Nice hard working from Shoretire. Lovely to see.

Tomo does a Campo by grabbing the ball after being fouled. Shadows of heroes.
Plymouth losing at Vale… which would cost them the league if Ipswich avoid defeat…

Really good thinking from Tomo that.
Followed by a madness tackle from Sheehan. Don't go getting sent off now lads.
