He's a little shit but I'd have him back in a heartbeat.
Not for me. Let him rot in the lower leagues. Which is his level.
He’ll not come back, but he’s the best player we’ve produced in a while. I also think he’s no worse than Thomason on the discipline front.
Thomason mistimes some tackles and can be reckless in his challenges but he’s stamping on folk then moaning in the ref’s ear all day.

Also he couldn’t cope in Scotland which is league one level at best and often below that.

Thanks again, DJ. I may join you later. :kettle:

Without checking Connell’s disciplinary record it’s hard to know whether he’s the character you paint him to be, or if he’s extra fired up - and naughty - when his old club roll up.

But yes, he’s a bit of a shit. Great dribbler though, and better than Thommo in that skill IMO. Just doesn’t have the physicality for the battle like Thommo does.

I think so.

I'm hoping Peterborough do what we did, win the cup and miss out on another trip to Wembley.

I'm supporting Oxford as well tonight. Was stationed at Brize Norton early in my RAF career and had a few enjoyable nights out in the town :D That, and I reckon they'd suit us better at Wembley that Peterbrough, once we finish off the Tykes.

Small world, only ever went to Brize in my RAF career to get on a timmy to MPA and Bastion. Funnily enough when at Cottesmore we as a group went to support Oxford away at Peterborough back in the day as a colleague absolutely detested Peterborough!

Sadly don’t see anyone but Peterborough winning that tie.

Wembley suits them both to be fair but it’s the power and pace of Peterborough’s many forwards that concerns me, IF we are to get there.

Connell's got an edge to him but Cosgrove is the type of w*nker I thought had gone out of the game, a bloke who deliberately tries to injure an opponent. I'm convinced, and so was Toal, that he was deliberately trying to get Santos out of that game and the 2nd leg.

Anyway, I expect a little more control and a little less direct play on Tuesday. The manager and players all sounded pretty focused at the end last night and I can't imagine they'll be in anyway complacent.

Agreed. We’ll be on it. Look focussed and settled now with Dion firing and Baxter (at the) back.

No soot on you then, must've scored well in the aptitude test. Never forget the day they said in the AFCO in Manchester, what do you want to do? Told them and they asked if I'd rather be an MT mech?

Not a chance.

Peterborough looked dangerous after conceding. Well played Oxford.

Keeps that tie interesting but still fancy Peterborough big time. They have so much going forwards. Oxford will need to hit them on the break and do it very well.

Posh did look dangerous and came near a couple of times, but Oxford played like they were more interested in hanging on to that 1-0 lead. Proceed with caution must be our own mandate whoever we play.

p.s, I'd be marking Joel Randall of Peterboro down in the notebook as one to chase for us next season. Class player that lad.
