Lots of private companies have to though. So my thesis is that if you want to persuade the fans then show your working.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 11:58 amNot that there aren't enough weaknesses for people to see right now, but why would any private company publish such a thing for pretty much zero benefit and a load of potential downsides?
To be fair, whilst fans know some of what's going on, we're usually a way off knowing everything. And for most folks, they'll give opinions, having never worked or run a league football Club.
Also the latter point applies to Sharon too. And the rest of the board. They arrived here having never run a league football club.
Also I’m willing to bet there was no root or branch review that took place and thus nothing they could publish….

Maybe, to point 1, what they sometimes publish (if they do) is maybe some potted highlights and a few "could do betters." Your ability to judge whether anything's working is in front of you pretty much every Saturday and Tuesday. Given most on here now seem to think it's not working as planned.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 12:28 pmLots of private companies have to though. The latter point does apply to Sharon too, outside of the fact of 4.5 years which is way more than most fans will ever run a football club. During that time we've steered through COVID, found investment for the squad and paid a whole lot of Admin bills. Don't think she's done poorly at the moment, given she's not ED but a long, long way from Anderson.

Correct I doubt that any review has taken place at any stage since the Oxford debacle, it's all just hot air exactly the same hot air that Evatt comes out with week after week. it's actions the fans want not empty words.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 12:28 pmLots of private companies have to though. They’ve kept a loss making business going and for that I’m thankful. They have increased its losses whilst failing to hit their 5 year target of championship football and reduced the quality of the product considerably.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:39 pmMaybe, to point 1, what they sometimes publish (if they do) is maybe some potted highlights and a few "could do betters." I’m not sure it’s much above the water companies in terms of how I’d rate it right now. Swimming in a shit infested river might even be more fun than going to the Bok to watch Wigan laugh at us again!

Hyperbole, much?
I've not liked much of Evatt's football, but that's probably as much an indictment of "modern football" or maybe in your analogy midden football.
I think it's probably easier to change manager rather than investors. Whilst I'm fine with people thinking 'It would all be fine, if only there was someone other than Sharon" it's much simpler to identify possible replacement managers, than people chucking money in a please drive me broke, pit. Who do people think are replacing Sharon, Bassini?
There is no comparison to water companies running off with Divvies then asking for taxpayer bailouts.
If they tried to run "sustainably" fans would piss and whinge we were selling our best assets. No win, there.

Ok. I’m eternally grateful to Sharon for taking the club over. And saving it. And having the money or pulling together the people who have to do it. And for their continued investment.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 2:24 pmHyperbole, much?

But the metrics of their performance beyond that are dire. Inherited a league one club and it’s still a league one club. Inspite of their 5 year championship plan. There is little sign of progress inspite of significant investment and losses are rising inspite of early proclamations that they wouldn’t.
I agree they are infinitely better than crooks or people looking to make a quick buck off a club. But that’s not about being successful. And so far their running of the club beyond some business stability is not filling me with a lot of hope.

Don't disagree with that, mate. It is frustrating, but they inherited a L1 Club, destined for L2, then COVID hit. Of course, teams have been promoted during and since, but as tough a start as you're likely to get, running a football Club.

From an owner's assessment, they can never sack a manager I want them to forever and a day as long as they keep the lights on.
