Reasons to be cheerful. At home to Cambridge Sat 18th Jan 3'clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Utter dogshite
Excellent to hear those chants against Evatt
Good it was broken for the 82 min applause for Ruth
Sharon can be in no doubt from that performance and what the fans were chanting the risk of perishing with this idiot in charge.

Setting off for an hour's drive to do a gig

Hoping (rather than expecting) to get there and hear Evatt's gone

It's when not if, now

It’s another result and performance that would get anyone else sacked by now at any other club. Players are not playing for him at all whatever your view on formations and tactics. If he’s told fans to fcuk off in hoping he might walk. He was straight down tunnel as per usual.

2-2 draw at home to a team that had lost the last 5 on the bounce.

Cambridge's record against the top 10:

Birmingham (not played)
Wycombe 2-1 L
Wrexham 2-2 D
Huddersfield 0-4 L
Barnsley 1-1
Stockport 2-0 L
Reading 3-0 L
Leyton Orient 2-0
Bolton 1-1 D, 2-2 D
Mansfield 2-1 L

That's the closest Cambridge have come to beating a team in the top 10. They've given plenty of points to the teams in the top ten, and yet we've dropped 4 points against Cambridge.

We messed it up at away against 10 men and almost lost today.

Can't even say that Kachunga played well today, we played badly, yet again.

I didn't watch or listen to the game, but it sounds from what I'm reading like the anti Evatt chants where quite loud near the end ? some saying most of the ground joined in with the 'we want Evatt out' & 'Ian Evatt your football is sh*t' ?

They were certainly audible and more of a chorus than an isolated section expressing their frustration.

I'm still not convinced it's the end but a few things certainly crystallised this afternoon.

Yeah, unless Evatt himself announces he's jacking it in post-match then - if there is to be an announcement - the board seem the type to leave it until the next business day.

It very much seems like we're dragging out the inevitable here by sticking with Evatt. Get him gone and lets get a fresh start for all concerned.

Sharon doesn’t care less what the fans think or want. He’s here until he decides to walk.

It’s Ian Evatt FC in her eyes. Zero chance she does a thing.

Several more fans now saying that he did mouth 'fcuk off' to some fans in the WSL.
You don’t come back from that kind of thing.
Apparently (if true ?), he didn't just mouth it he shouted it, one guy saying he heard it he was sat in WSL near the tunnel with his young lad !

Oh and Santos was utterly terrible today. He looks physically finished to me. Can barely move.

Pointless appointing a new manager with 2 weeks of window left Get him gone tonight and beg / plead with Allardyce to come in for 4 months until end of season to at the very least establish what this lot can or can't do without this buffoon at the helm. In the meantime plenty of time to find a competent replacement to oversee a major clear out of deadwood in the summer - beyond the deadwood that we all already know about (all except Evatt that is) that should be going this month, led by the stump that is Santos.I really question if Sharon et al want promotion when we're getting 20,000 with third division overheads against slightly more with championship overheads.

If he's effed and jeffed at the fans, can we sack him without compo? Bringing the club into disrepute kind of thing?

They would need proof not just hearsay, however if someone caught him saying it on their phone - who knows ?
