He could go in lots of different ways, which is great - keeps the oppo on their toes and he's also shown he'll tweak or even batch-change (four subs!) if he sees fit.
I just have a feeling we'll go 4-2-3-1 again here, with Collins off McAtee. He's also talked about a fast start.

His press comments would suggest that our captain is set for a place on the bench on his return since we have won both matches that he has been away, and if I may add, lost the one that he was able to play. I also believe that CMG will be playing a huge part in his team for the run in.

I'm inclined to agree, but also think he'll try and keep McAtee and Collins in together. Collins coming in off the right perhaps? or McAtee in the #10?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 4:35 pmHe could go in lots of different ways, which is great - keeps the oppo on their toes and he's also shown he'll tweak or even batch-change (four subs!) if he sees fit.

Leaves the midfield a bit light if the latter and they're a quick, physical side who'll want to dominate the centre of the park.
The sensible option seems to be play 3 x Central midfielders

I've broken my foot and won't be attending tomorrow, possibly longer if I need surgery.
Is the couch suitably comfy for this one, or is it getting its springs replaced?

I think he'll go:
Southwood
JDC - Toal - Forrester - Murphy
Morley- Sheehan
JOT - Matete - Collins
McAtee
Good options in there though. Pretty 50/50 on Jones v JDC, Johnstone v one of the centre halves. And Schon has a case.

I’d have Johnston over Murphy at left back, but otherwise that’s what I’d go for.

Beautiful day. A few big games in League One. None bigger than this. Up and at ‘em, Whites.

Yeah, proper six pointer this. Hopefully, Brum will do us a favour and beat Reading at lunchtime. But, difficult to see anything other than a Charlton win at home to Exeter.

Aggression and determination are what we need. This isn't a nice guy league so get into them and do it from the off. The England girls learned this against Portugal last night and were lucky to escape with a draw in the end after scoring first.

Had it reinforced for this very reason. Was only a matter of time with the amount of old cronies on here.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2025 12:59 pmLousy luck. Hope it recovers quick Ghost. So the North Stand pie-throwing troglodytes will be happy. I've been shunted away from my usual seat again "for my own safety". I will be back.
In other news, Eoin Toal has come in late with Kyle Dempsey, sans boot bag.

Randell Williams to come back to haunt us... hopefully not.
Shame about Toal being missing. Quite the player, seemingly getting very involved with the medical team though.

Absolute joke of a decision referee. Schon gets the ball, lino is 3 yards away, gives nothing and the ref gives a c*nting free kick.

Murphy and his passing. Needs to improve there if you're going places.

Never a foul by Schon that, perhaps its given from JDC in the back.
Seems strange that as a club we've spent so much money on the forwards and yet we've got an abundance of them nowhere near the starting line up. Not saying Schuey's in the wrong, just that it's rather telling the strategic change.
