Where does that Collins money go? We still need strikers and wingers. Would Ennis fit the bill and work up top with Dalby? Or do we invest in a couple of wingers who are fast and can cross?
£700K won’t go far. Might cover the wages of one or two decent frees or loans. But I guess that it frees up a wage too and a squad space.
I’d hope we wouldn’t let him go for less than £1m. If MK have the money, let em use it.
He’s not worth £700k. I’m guessing the fee will be around there.

But he’s a lower league 28 year old striker. And we are talking about him going to league two. I know we all watch the transfers up the chain but if it wasn’t Bolton and another league one club I think we’d more realistically assess value of a striker in that situation.
We paid more than for him and he's improved as a player. £700k is not enough to replace his goal return
Maybe it isn’t but realistically in the market - it’s a lot of money for someone of his age with his record. Is it enough for us? Different question but let’s see.

The fact we’ve hugely overpaid for players in the past few seasons is our own fault.

700k is less than we paid for him so can't see that happening.

Heard there might be an incoming announced today. Also heard another is done but won't be announced just yet.
Maybe it's Sharman-Lowe (GK from Chelsea) who'll be announced today.

"Realistically in the market" was £750k when he wasn't as good as he is now. He's only worth what somebody is willing to pay for him, so if that doesn't suit us, we keep him and we keep his goals.

We didn't overpay for him. At all.

If we're 'overpaying' for players, then surely many more times are too.

We paid too much for him. Way too much. But that’s my opinion. However, let’s see what happens - Schumacher and Harkin are reportedly accepting around £700K. Reportedly but if they are then their judgement is that is a good fee.

Yep but it comes down to what those in the club consider is a good fee and whether they value that over not selling him.

We are absolutely terrible at extracting decent fees. A soft touch. Have been for years.

It's no wonder we continue to lose such considerable amounts without improving the team. Let a player go for X, replace him with a worse play for X+ addons and agents fees
Getting £700k for Charles wasn’t bad.

Is there a possibility we might've put clubs on notice?

We’ve overpaid for some players under Evatt, Nlundulu, Randall and possibly Vic spring to mind, but I reckon we’ll get at least what we paid for Collins if not more. I am surprised though that Warne wants him, he doesn’t look like a Paul Warne type player to me.

That he's available? I suspect it's almost certain, and I doubt he'll be the last. I think one of our contracted midfielders will go, and perhaps a centre-back too.

Can we just take a moment to spare a thought for poor Pru? This is his transfer thread and we're just about to sell our only goal scorer, ergo, it's all his fault.

On second thoughts, depending on his replacement, I'll buy the rope, has anyone got a pitchfork or two??
I've got a couple of spare sheets.

You sound quite certain or even in the know. So I’m hopeful here.
