That's a great goal from young Max.

Szabi somehow prevents a second Wanderers goal. Sorta sums up his night.

Missed the first half. Second half looking good though. Nice finish from Conway despite not being the cleanest of hits, it was certainly well worked from him with his first chip before the strike.

Lovely pass from Sheehan to tee up CMG. Very close bit of play, unlucky not to be 2-0.

Barrow now elbowing our players in the head. Classy.

Didn't see that. Hacking down Conway I did see. So much for it being a friendly.

I seem to remember last time we played Barrow, the camera feed was coming from the opposite stand, the brick building being somewhat of a giveaway.

Thought McAtee might have tried to hit that with his left. Awkward angle with his right foot.

The system is so so much better than the 3 at the back we’ve had to suffer. Threats all over the top half of the pitch. Deffo lacking up front though.

Seen him for 5 minutes but that Cozier-Duberry looks a serious player to me. So much upper body strength.

Aye, clocked him in the face as he was breaking through.

This is night and day different with the changes.

I agree with this. To add to that, I think we'll likely end up starting the season lacking up top, or at least having the impression of lacking up top. With just McAtee being the main man, I think we'll be keen on seeing more options come in. Warren has looked impressive, but it's a tough ask for him to step up.

On the plus side, i've been very impressed with Cozier-Duberry. We'll get goals, but I don't think it'll be the sole function of the man up top in the middle. Getting Big Sam vibes, man up top is just a foil and the goals come from elsewhere on the pitch.

Maybe its intentional, the role of the 60 minute men is to slow build up, the role of the subs is to get at them, as we'd expect in an actual match.

Can't really say its too indicative of an abundance or lack of quality, but rather of differing strategies.

Yeah I think we need another target man, I think we see McAtee as a 10.

A big target man or mobile hard runner up top will be needed and I will be surprised if we don’t get one or two in the next few weeks or at least by close of window.

Yeah, Dalby was the man up top through the middle, not intended for his goal output but his off the ball work. We had Dad Bod and Jerome as a swappable two, i'd be really surprised if we didn't get another Dalby-esque man up top to give us a swappable option, otherwise we're heading in the same route as we had last season with the inability to get the ball to a sticky option up top.

I don't think there's a good deal of options available. I've not seen an abundance of shouts for a big lump available from the youth teams. Not really a focus anymore.

We've got Abimbola available for that option, but I think he's probably likely to get a loan away from the club rather than break into the squad.

Suspect we are hoping for a loan or two. Maybe the lad from Celtic.

Thomason looks good - based on what I’ve seen today I’d not have him on the list of midfield players to sell.

He's a good lad to have at the club. His work rate in the off season to get himself into contention and onto the captaincy should only stand as an example to follow. Sure there's likely better players out there that are capable of a higher level, but i'd agree that he's one that is capable and good to have around, even if he's not necessarily the main man.

He's the one i've been least 'wow'ed by. Happy with his performance, and he's in the role I expect to be the least spectacular. We've needed that steadying influence.
