Lee to Liverpool rumors...again

Post by SonsOfThunder » Mon Sep 20, 2010 5:12 pm

http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/2 ... in-january

The entire article strikes me as...well shit. Am I right in my suspicion?

And I wonder why this rumor keeps persisting. I personally think it's so that in the off-chance that Lee does actually go there the writers can furiously work out ways to incorporate 'Lee-verpool' and various other puns into their articles.

Where the f*ck are Liverpool going to find £60, let alone £60m.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

That article is definitely a bunch of baloney - nothing more than a recycling of old stories. The bit about "Hodgson needs to take the initiative before someone else does"...what, we can't keep our own players? F*ck off...
Alright, yeah, Liverpool can have Lee. Just like anybody can have Cahill if they want him. But they're paying through the bleeding nose for them.

CYL said he will jump ship for CL. Last time I checked 'pool are not in CL this year and they are not gonna be in CL next year either from how they are playing. If anything, they will lose La Nina and maybe even Pepe Reina.

The problem with the wonderful world of the media is that they instigate these transfer dealings and keep on playing on them until they eventually happen. They did the same with Real and Ronaldo. They make up so much rubbish that eventually the odd story will come true, it's like they are planting a seed into the minds of the managers of other teams like some scout. But we have to accept that we are generally a feeder club for those big clubs! Lee will move but as said above, someone will be paying through the nose for him. And as also said above, can't see that bring Liverpool as they are skint.

How does that work then? Will Roy now wander into Coyle, scratching the back of his head and looking a bit flummoxed and say "well, goal.com's had me down as buying this winger of yours. So we'd better talk."

Liverpool scouted him over the summer. Probably where all the "reports" come from.

They watched him is very different to they're set to bid for him.

I saw that Ronaldo fella on the telly a few weeks ago.

I've sent my report to Coyle, I'm saying no more than that for the moment.
