The White Zat Knight?
I'd take him at that price yeah. He's still quite young.

I know next to nothing about the lad but a few of the players talk sport are linking us with seem much more realistic than say Sergio Canales. I imagine we'll be linked with nearly every 'cut-price' defender if/when O'Brien and Cahill leave.

Maybe we should have held onto him for today's match .... anyway, "bygones".General Mannerheim wrote:AOB signed 2.5yr deal at Leeds.
OK, good luck to him.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Massively. A centre back, a centre mid the bare minimum needs to be brought in
Re: January transfer window...

Re: January transfer window...
I would be surprized if it wasn't a free transfer. It would allow AOB to get good wages at Leeds and free up his wages for us to sign C.Davies or Wheater, both young centre backs as his replacement, and to understudy Cahill before he leaves in the summer.bettyrasta wrote:Anyone know if there is any cash for us or has he been given away?

I would be delighted if we signed this lad.
Re: January transfer window...
On SSN they said the window isn't actually open yet because it has to start on a working day or something? Saturday 1st = bank holiday, sunday = not a working day, monday = bank holiday...so "official" signings can't be made until Tuesday?thebish wrote:ok - the window is open - where are the bastarding signings??
Anyone know if that is actually correct?

Future. If true certainly not going to help depth for this season.nearlyeverywere wrote:http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/ ... -22819957/
Re: January transfer window...
Where do we need to add depth now then?
Centre back would seem the most pressing place.
Moreno seems to be doing ok as backup to Chung-Yong. Petrov is backup to Taylor. Klasnic/Blake backup to Davies and Elmander.
Muamba and Holden seems to be the central pairing, with Mark Davies backup.
Left back perhaps? If Robbo gets injured would Alonso be able to play there every game?

Think yes to most of this - we need cover at CD. Alonso I think is a way off being a shoe in at LB, but for me - Centre Mid is a hugh problem as soon as Holden can't play.Choppers wrote:Where do we need to add depth now then?

Two of the top three tacklers in the Prem, in MF, are Holden (top) and Muamba (third). When we lose Holden, we lose any control in MF and end up defending a lot.
