Maison McGeechan!
do you think that's pronounced as in the french for "house" - or is it a poor spelling of Mason?
Re: 4 Subs - The true story.
Well Riga is most certainly off isn't he. 25 doesn't matter in Jan, and he wasn't there soooo..... Jlloyd is injured I think, though I imagine he wouldn't have picked him either.

Jloyd and Gardner are due back in a fortnight, so they'll be in the new squad list I'd imagine.

and dont forget we have a 24 man squad with no room for riga
i know he's shite but thats a bit cutting your nose off to spite your face as well? or can we pay him less if he doesn't form part of the squad?
We will be paying him less as there will be no appearance money, no win/draw bonus, no league position money; these are normally built in to many contracts.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

indeed - who can already hear Coyle announcing on 1st Feb that having Ricardo and JLoyd back is like signing two new players...

Re: 4 Subs - The true story.
It is if its two players like Sean Davies.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: 4 Subs - The true story.
If Gardner can come back as good as he was before all these injuries he really will be like signing a new player. Cover at left wing, left back etc!
Also, maybe I'm being overly positive, but after seeing what Coyle has done with Knight, is it impossible to think he can improve Samuel too?

What has happened to Rhys Bennett?
Thought he was a good prospect but he seems to have dissapeared?

He's still in the reserves. Could benefit from a loan spell in the lower leagues methinks.

Think he's injured.

Easy!!! Thought you would have got that one,Davo to c/back.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:What the bard quoth. Gotta love OC but I disagree on this one. It's an easy way to motivate young players, rather than making them think there's a glass ceiling above which they cannot rise. Strange for a man who loves to create a happy squad atmosphere.William the White wrote:which kids wouldn't kill their grannie under the tree for the chance to sit on a bench at anfield?
Reasons could include a rather unsubtle nudge towards Gartside and Ed Davies - see also Megson snidely bringing on a palpably unready Danny Ward. But you can make that point without the distasteful poor-me posturing and, frankly, the risk: having kids on the bench could be mentioned, in public or private, without endangering the current first team. The subs at Anfield were Bogdan, Petrov, Blake and Klasnic. I'm still to hear what remotely plausible reshuffle we'd have had if any defenders were injured. Are we to believe that Martin Petrov would make a better makeshift defender than any in our Academy? In that case, are we to broadcast it? In that case, aren't we telling our Academy lads that they're almost literally a waste of space?
