Oh, we do! His defence could request an adjournment of a trial date (should one have been set), to gather evidence/witnesses etc; but as he has not been formaly charged, the police can keep re bailing him until a time when they feel there is enough evidence to send to the cps for prosecution and formaly charge him for the offence. Alternatively, and hopefully, they may not gather enough evidence, or there is no evidence, to warrant a prosecution and the whole thing is dropped.

As for the strikers, I'd like to see Sturridge have a run in the side with Elmander, KD just playing behind them. But who would we have to drop?

Assuming that this is all about scoring goals rather than individual player preferences I would go with form, and form alone.

Sturridge has the form and confidence but needs at least one decent passer of the ball to feed him opportunities. That also implies that the midfield needs to work as a unit and therefore only one of Holden or M Davies can play in the centre, Muamba although recently sh*te needs to play alongside Holden with Lee to the right and Petrov to the left. Petrov may not be everyone's cup of tea but he has scored as many goals as K Davies. I would stick Moreno up front with Sturridge holding Klasnic in reserve for the last half hour of games.

Drop both K Davies and Elmander for the time being. Neither can really justify their automatic selection. If they are hungry enough they can show that by being alternatives to Klasnic as impact substitutes.

Knight must be dropped. When he is not lobbing the ball over the midfield to KD he is just as likely to pass square across the goalmouth as forward. Put Wheater alongside Cahill and keep Robinson at LB with either of Ricketts and Steinnson at RB. Replace Jussi with Bogdan.

Bit too radical for most of you, I bet.

If we're strictly looking at form then I think its a bit difficult to throw Moreno in there after the other night and his efforts up front against York, where Davies and Elmander had to come on to rescue a very dire situation!

I don't disagree with you regarding the last couple of disappointing performances from Moreno. It is a fact though that he is a lot more mobile than KD and perhaps not so afraid of the ball as Elmander. If we have a better option, then great.

Ah yes but if you really want balls-out General Patton type blood and guts, i.e. being a winner, sometimes revolution is the only way. Having said that, it is the British way to tinker around with things and maybe, by luck, get where you want to be in the end.

Patton's record as a general is no better than any of his peers.

Balls out or not.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Makes sense. Can imagine it being unsettling to keep getting a deadline and you're hoping to put the business to bed, and then it get put back for another two months.

For me, KD is still our best striker. He brings more to the team than the others..aerial power, strength, defends well, holds up the ball well to bring others in, and is not as slow as people may believe.

Himself with Sturridge for me.

In his own view, his record was far better. Obviously, not when he was dead.....

Agreed with most of this - but KD still needs to put more effort in. Have rarely criticised him over the years but it's becoming increasingly difficult to ignore his failings at the moment. Hope he can recover and give us a cracking last 15 months.

'tis an interesting dilemma - and I'll be eager to see the starting lineup tomorrow..

I don't expect it will reveal anything other than Davo and Elmo up top though...
