Getting excited now.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Welcome along, friend. Do pop back for further chats, we're a welcoming lot with non-knobs. Congrats on the Wembley win, good luck staying up and thanks for the cute Tricky Trev reference, which must've sailed over a few heads.StanDrews wrote:Hello, Trotters, I hope you don't mind me dropping in on your site to have a look how you were thinking about this weekend's match.
I see there is a fair bit of Wembley Fever - quite right too, with only ninety minutes separating one of us (no replay, pleeeease) from a semi-final at the National Stadium.
Earlier in this thread I noticed one of you willingly offering the three points to us in the league game coming up soon in exchange for letting BWFC get through the QF. OK - it's a deal. And I reckon Alex McLeish would bite your hands off, too.
Truth is, Premier League status is too precious to give it up without a fight, and we are suffering a desperate injury problem (crisis is too strong a word) right now. So, although we would love to repeat our Carling Cup exploits in the FA Cup, the fact is that through necessity rather than choice, the Birmingham team is going to be weakened. That's not to suggest that we will just lie down and have our belly tickled. But some key areas will be filled with players who wouldn't normally be in the 18-man squad, let alone the starting eleven.
I'd like McLeish to play a couple of youngsters - perhaps a teenager who can burst on to the scene with a four-goal salvo. Or perhaps not.
Whatever happens, I wish you a safe journey, a warm welcome and a feast of football, although you'll be lucky to get two out of three!

Great motivation, but I'm seeing this more as a Bolton v Reading extravaganza then Bolton V United. Whatever, COME ON YOU WHITEStruewhite15 wrote:Just in case anybody isn't gee'd up enough for this one already, have a look at this...

Just forked out £38.50 for a return ticket to Birmingham, so there's no going back now. 6 o'clock rise, get to Birmingham nice and early, loiter with intent outside the turnstiles...the anticipation is rising...rising...rising!!!!

Brighton Arms or the Cricketers by the ground, although they are lost amongst the side streets.bwfc1979 wrote:does anyone know any boozers we are allowed in or is it just a case of streight to the ground
Reckon most folk (well those travelling by train anyway) will have a few in the town centre before the game. thats what were doing, then jump in a taxi to the ground.

Always relieved to see a dose of realism.
