FACup Quarter Final

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Such is the roller coaster that is being a Wanderer, every few years we get a day like yesterday. Makes it all the more special.

Absolutely brilliant. Fans were tremendous and special credit to SKD, Elmo and CYL with a "terrific" performance from the bench.

What a pass from Robbo. :D

Touch of class from Stan with a great post above.

My next-door Scouse-supporting mate say he'd love to see us beat United in the final with KD barging Van der Sar into the net.

Just got back! :pissed:

Great day, thanks to the players, Owen Coyle and the majority of fans who went. Some great class posts from Birmingham fans I've been reading.

I won't add much....its deffo in my top ten matches I've attended now.

Thought we looked a much better outfit, far more balanced, after the subs. Mark Davies is a massive improvement in terms of ball retention on Fabrice, and Chungy is at the centre of most things going forward. Petrov was poor again yesterday. Klasnic was unfortunate - he needs to be playing with Chungy for the chances to be created! Fair does in the league now, give chungy a rest or whatever but he has to start in the semi.

I'm sure it was Loft who headed that one of Birminghams off the line...

Bring on the semi's....cannot wait!

Yea super interview - makes me motivated just listening to him. Love how he always talks about the job "we" are doing - real collegial style.

And not a mention of "the FA Cup sponsored by e-on." :D

Funny thing is we are just as excited to draw Stoke as they will be to draw us. Let's hope their away form continues.

Re watched a taping of this today. At the time I didn't appreciate quite how good Elmander had been.

Probably our best player on the day in retrospect. Drove us forwards and provided plenty of class aswell.

Noticed a couple of papers had given him Man of the match and it surprised me a bit. Having seen it again can see why.

Game changed when he went up front in place of Klasnic. His running and workrate up front with Kev's hold up play probably was the turning point.

Hope he stays!

Indeed so. I thought he was also excellent in the first half also.

We'll not get thanked for this by some tomorrow.

2 more good games in the cup and he might just start to wear his massive price tag more easily.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I apparently met my phone on the way down Blackburn Road. A consequence of not proof-reading. It should, of course, read 'friend'
