It'll come as no surprise but this has got to be the death knell for Ali

I'd like to view it as a positive rather than a negative. There may be scouts sniffing round Bogdan etc etc.

As it stands, we've still got 3 very good keepers. Its not a bad position to be in.

That thread title is a bit sensationalist. Hardly bye bye time just yet.

I wouldn't have thought so, Jussi has got much longer in him and I would much rather go with Al Habsi than Bogdan for a little while
Pfffft.

With one keeper approaching (somewhere along the line) his career end and a manager building for the future it looks very good business to me and Ali, out on loan to keep him at Prem level, is a Bolton player regardless. Can't see any negatives at all. One injury can soon change the best of plans.

If Wigan go down, they won't be buying Al-Habsi. Marc Iles from the BN reckons there's other suitors though...

In my view Al Habsi would be looking for first team action at this stage of his career and I just can't see him dislodging Jussi for a season or two yet barring injury of course. I hope I'm proved wrong because I really rate the guy

He has had first team premier league action this year and could do next year on loan. Jussi's career is winding down and if we could hold on to AAH for one more year, he could become Jussi's natural replacement, while Bogdan would take AAH's role.

Wouldn't it make sense for Al Habsi to come back next season, with Bogdan going out on loan to a decent Championship side (Wigan again). Then we have Al Habsi and Jussi in a straight fight for number 1, and Bogdan getting the experience he needs of regular football.

Good to have Bogdan signed up

Bad to have sensationalist thread titles

A few teams rumoured to be interested according to sky sports today, including Arsenal! If Wegner is willing to spend the 4m price being touted around I will eat my shorts, seeing as he is too stubborn to spend 2m on Schwarzer

£4M for Al Habsi? I think the guy's brilliant and all that, and I'd love him to be our next #1, but £4M, at this stage of his career, when we've got a highly rated Hungarian waiting in the wings? Snap their bleeding hands off.

Ali's as good as gone. Shame I feel he would have been a great no1 for us.
