Tope's 22 this year. Eaves is 19.
Tope has proved that he can't cut it at league 1, and didn't really impress in league 2 either.
Eaves scored a hat-trick agaisnt our backline and has improved immeasurably since then.
Tope blows very hot and cold, I was talking to one of the coaches about him and they say he has the ability, he just doesn't have the drive.

I bow to your greater knowledge as I know you've watched a great deal of the reserves....but didn't stop Tope looking really good on Tuesday and Eaves very average though.

From what I've heard, I'd be happy to see them both tried out in pre-season.

Yeah, worth a try, hopefully Tope plays better with better players around him. That seems to be the case.

Wonder why? Who've we lost as cover?

Unless of course Robbo ain't in and that means Alonso (defensive cover) is in the starting 11?
Coyle's long-term plan for Connolly is centre-midfield according to Marc Iles.
Could explain it.

yeah i assumed Connolly was in for centre mid cover.

We won't risk Mark Davies.

Cohen will be very very unfit I imagine (hasn't even been turning out for the stiffs), so I think there is a reasonable chance Connolly will see some action, though I suppose Matt Taylor or Chungy in centre mid may be more likely off the bench. Depends on the score line.

Robb will be benched I reckon. Sensible as well that.

We'll deffo get beat, absolutely convinced of that!

We will win. We play a different game of football now, one that relies more on team and not individuals. We will win..........I say....

He can also play right-back. He played there for Ireland U21 last week against Portugal and seemed to do OK first half.

My first prediction since signing up. I'm not usually negative but i have a bad feeling about tomorrow, bit of an anti-climax after three weeks ago there, Brum will be really up for it whereas our players won't want to end up with an injury after seeing Holden's. I'll go for 1-0 Brum or 1-1 at best.

Lets hope i'm very wrong!!

Aye OD. I'll be interested to see who he puts in centre mid at the start. CYL should start on the right so where would that leave Elmo?

He wouldn't start him in the centre - would he?

Nah, I do imagine Mu and Cohen will start - though people have said Cohen is really unfit so who knows?

Well, it won't be a mudbath. Weather forecast is dry with a decent temperature predicted so can't blame that. Fast and furious then. Couple of early goals should do it.

Chungy won't start, I see he was dragged out to f*cking South Korea for a friendly this week.

Elmo will be right wing, and whilst its square peg, round hole, he's probably our best option there at the moment.

Rest Chungy for the semi, then bring him in for Sturridge at Wembley.

its gonna be:
------------------Jussi----------------
Steiner---Wheater---Cahill---Alonso
Elmo----Cohen-----Muamba---Petrov
--------Davo------Sturridge---------

I would say that looks like the most likely 11 at the mo.

If Cohen aint playing for the stiffs I really wouldn't be surprised to see Elmo---CYL----Moo----Petrov.

No idea about this game today. With no Holden and M. Davies out it is a big test of our character. Let's hope Coyle can produce his magic again.
