Kev didn't have a great game but it wasn't Chungy's best either.hisroyalgingerness wrote:Can I pick, and completely disagree with the sponsor MOM Davies. A poor pen and with him and his lack of pace we completely fail to take advantage of the space created by Sturridge and from Lee's creativity.

Who cares about last week. We took three points from the Arse, and pretty much killed another chance at hardware for them. And I really love to see all the dejected Arse-faces, especially Wegners when he throws his little hissy fits.

Beware the wounded beast!
Absolutely fantastic result.
The celebration from Robbo and Zat is legendary!

Although I'm struggling to recall a worse penalty than that!

Boy that feels good, and very chuffed for Cohen to score. And we're only a point off 7th, with a game in hand.

Spot on. Big shout for Steinnson toohisroyalgingerness wrote:Brilliant performance, with resilience, spirit and some craft. Fantastic. Both goals created from corners, which was the hallmark of our victories over Arsenal with Sam. But both corners created having come close with moves of class.
Robbo, Cahill, Muamba each stood up to be counted this week and put in very solid performances.
Can I pick, and completely disagree with the sponsor MOM Davies. A poor pen and with him and his lack of pace we completely fail to take advantage of the space created by Sturridge and from Lee's creativity.

Wonderful support for the boys for large portions of the match too, and our biggest attendance of the season?

Get in!
I was greeted by '5-0, 5-0, 5-0' by the Arsenal twunt who sits near me as soon as I arrived back at work last week. I'm tempted to serenade him with '6-0' on Tuesday but it'll be more fun to let him stew for a while.

the stoke debacle was embarassing but the notion that any arsenal fan could goad anyone after this season is amusing.

There's plenty to take from the match that could rile one up.
Cohen getting booked for celebrating a goal in his late father's honour.
Van Persie waving a card, and then later, very visibly telling Taylor to "feck OFF" on camera.
Chamakh's tackle on Robbo.
However, the commitment and work-rate, organisation and team-work from our boys was just a joy to behold.
Kevin Davies said he was distraught about the Stoke game, and by goodness did he prove it. That was a sensational performance from him, he was everywhere and won every header. However, man of the match for me was Zat Knight. He is the perfect partner to Cahill, he really is, and if we can keep both of those two, Holden in the middle, and Chung-Yong (who despite a few strange decisions, was magnificent today) we've a seriously good spine.
Sturridge won't be here next season, but I hope Elmander stays.
Also, I'd hope that the "Petrov vs Taylor" arguement has finally been put to bed.
