Muamba
Lads got to be carrying an injury hasn't he?
Hardly moved from the centre circle today, worst performance from a Bolton midfielder since akin bulent played against bury
They want to check he isn't colourblind as well.

Re: Muamba
He was bad by Muamba's standards! I really couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Ricardo coming on definitely changed the game for us but it's a shame the rest of the team carried on with the first half performance.
Luckily when we have Holden and Mavies back he wont be in the starting eleven.

Re: Muamba
He desparately needs some confidence boosting coaching.
He is a good player, but you do have to keep telling yourself that at times.
There's something wrong in that head of his at the second.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

He seemed totally out of it today.

Re: Muamba
I counted 2 passes to a white shirt in the first half, he normally plays like his boots are on the wrong feet, but today surpassed his usual ineptidtude, that said the first half was woeful and it needed a goal from someone (unfortunatly the Makams)

Agree. We are missing stuart holden dreadfully - he and muamba made a nice twosome early in the season.bobo the clown wrote:He desparately needs some confidence boosting coaching.

Re: Muamba
This is madness. Last season we were raving about him being the best defensive midfielder in the Premiership. We really ought to keep faith in him as i'm sure he'll come good once again. You certainly don't accrue that many tackles at this level by being rubbish.
Hopefully he'll come away from the season break refreshed and revitalised. I know he's got the U21 championships to deal with but i'm sure he can do it.

Hasn't.
Will come good in time. Needs his side kick back.

I'm a fan of his. Didn't see the game today though.

Re: Muamba
He's been shit christmAs. He was my player of the season last year...it could be confidence, but I'm convinced he's carrying an injury...which in turn wouldn't help his confidence I guess.
When your already 2 centre mids down it isn't helping.

Re: Muamba
I think his partner in midfield really defines who Muamba is and how he approaches a game. he comes across as shy. I really believe that Holden next to him changes his mentality.

Re: Muamba
I can't comprehend how he could have been as bad as he was yesterday. Surely if he was blindfolded and kicked the ball anywhere, 50% of his passes would go to a white shirt. Maybe that's the answer to improve his passing average.
Re: Muamba
If Moo had the mentality of a Roy Keene or Viera he would be our most valuable asset, he needs to harden up and believe in himself more, the boy does have talent.

Agreed, just didn't look at his best yesterday though.Hoboh wrote:If Moo had the mentality of a Roy Keene or Viera he would be our most valuable asset, he needs to harden up and believe in himself more, the boy does have talent.

If Muamba was able to put one foot in front of the other when on the ball then he'd be thrice the player he is now

Very true, when Holden plays, his ability covers up all Muamba's shortcomings!Lord Kangana wrote:I think his partner in midfield really defines who Muamba is and how he approaches a game. he comes across as shy. I really believe that Holden next to him changes his mentality.
Re: Muamba
I like Muamba and think that he has a lot of talent, but yesterday he was very poor at passing, the worst I have seen him.
