Way I see it with Nugent is that if he was brought in as a Blake replacement then it would be a good squad improvement. But if he's brought in as an Elmander replacement then its dire. And we all know given our finances and the fact Nugent would command a far higher wage than Blake that it would be the latter situation. And given that I'd be pretty fed up. Especially as we'd be "waiting on the possibility of Sturridge" for our fourth striker slot so could easily go into the season with Davies, Klasnic and Nugent as our strikers.

Quite so. One thing in the Nugget's favour, though: He can presumably still last 90 minutes...

Very true. Lets face it, plenty of bigger clubs have been sniffing round Adam, Liverpool, Spurs etc so even if we wanted him its unlikely he'd pitch up here and as you say wrong player for us.

I quite like Vaughan though, could be an option, no suggestion though that we're looking in that direction.

Mathias Jørgensen as he is called IRL (or Zanka for some pathetic reason) is a young lanky dude who's very good in the Danish league. I would however be very surprised if he'd be a succes in the EPL. Error prone, lapses of concentration, lacking in physical strenghth, technically average at best and generally grotesquely overrated by pretty much every expert in the country.

Come to think of it, he reminds me somewhatof Zat Knight, just without the physical strenght. Even kinda looks like him.

I must stress that most Danish experts expect him to suceed. I do not see it however. Also the Copenhagen player are very overpriced for now du to the CL successes. Their strenght is in their team, not really in the individual players.

If we we're to sign one of that lot, I would prefer the left back, Wendt. I doubt he'll make it in the EPL though, but I'd put my money on him rather than Jørgensen. Also Wendt is a free transfer this summer.

Nope. His name is Daniel Wass. He is out of contract too. 21 years old, playing for Brondby. Currently he is linked to Benfica as well as a couple of other teams. Wendt is a Swedish international, 23ish.

Mathias Jørgensen is a central defender. As far as I remember he played against England as well. Some might have seen him put in an rather crappy performance against Chelsea in the CL.
