Who would be your next Captain be ??

With Kevin Davies not getting any younger, who would be your natural replacement for a new Club Captian and reasons why ??

For me the obvious replacement would be Cahill, but as we suspect hes' not going to be with us in the near future, (I'll presume the same for Elmander) I make it a short list of 4 Robinson, Knight, Holden or Mavies (who'm I'd like to see get a full time run in the team).

Thing about this is that it's a question for next summer at the earliest. I think it's fair to say that SKD will still be our skipper next season. So it's the season after. At which point any number of players could be playing for us or not playing for us.

I'm slightly worried that Mark Davies is on anyones shortlist.

In what way at all, is he perceived to be "captain material"?

Erm, he's short, a bit tubby, has a dodgy haircut, a spray tan and is VASTLY overrated by all.

By rights he should be England captain.

Thing about this is that it's a question for next summer at the earliest. I think it's fair to say that SKD will still be our skipper next season. So it's the season after. At which point any number of players could be playing for us or not playing for us.

I dont think SKD has put in enough good enough performances this year and in many games i would have subbed him when bringing the likes of Klasnic on, personally I think he's past his sell by date now and all teams know what he offers and 75% cope with hime adequately, making us less of an attacking threat.

SKD, has been a brilliant servant for the club, but I think he's not had his best season, he's a talisman, who for me epitomises what Bolton are about, and it will be a sad day when he hangs up his boots, which I fear is on the horizon and looming fast
