Nor is he the kind of player that would flourish in our current midfield. I doubt, after all the time he's had out, that he'll ever get back to any sort of top level football. Would be better if we could loan him or something next season to try to alleviate his wage pressure.
I'd prefer we alleviated Petrovs wage pressure
how do we do that?
You're the one with all the answers

I just expressed a preference

I didn't sign the useless bastard so he's not my problem
it was a genuine question - and it's fine for you not to know...
I doubt it's as easy as just hoping he'll go away...

I suppose you could argue thats a "coincidence". Funny how when he's got injured it was predicted.

hmmmm... pay your money and take your choice which bits of "evidence" you choose to bring...

with him in the side - we lose to arsenal
without him - we beat them..

QED!

Very good. And Cohen was on when we scored the winner.

Ergo Cohen >>>>>>>>>>>> Holden.

Problem solved!

Joey O'Briens back isn't he? Don't know what you're worrying about.

Purely a guess, but I'd guess our PPG with Petrov in the side is better than without him

Certainly away from home, which is fcuking hard to fathom

It would be plain daft to expect it next season I know, relegation looms in my opinion.

But it wasn't daft this season, if we hadn't had such a poor run in 7th would have been comfortable....so how does that make me daft? Surely the people who had us finishing 17th are dafter?

Here's to hoping you look daft again at the end of next season. :D

Me too, but I fear the lack of funds and players that don't seem to care will see us struggle big time.

There are no signs that any of those things will happen, so what are you basing that on?

look, we'll sort the defence out, Coyle has all summer to work on new strategies for picking up points on the road, players will go, players will come in, and there will be 3 worse teams than us in the prem next season...all will be good.

We'll play him on the wing instead of petrov.

Now I'm sure I've got Gavin McCann's number on my phone somewhere.....

I was stunned to see McCann scrapping with Zat Knight in the first half.

Mind you, he's put some weight on, and changed his name

Even HWSNBN wouldn't have played him upfront, would he?

McCann scored arguably the most important goal in the clubs recent history at Boro to keep us up.

Add in to that the goal he scored in Belgrade that made history for any English club.

He was certainly no worse than what we've got in the centre of midfield at the moment and lets face it was struggling with what were ultimately career ending injuries in the last season or two with us.
