I think it needs to be a relatively old song, more people will know it that way. I think Houghton Weavers is wayyyy to dated and complicated. It has to be something that will work on the terraces. It has to be Ben E. King - Stand By Me. Simple and would definitely fit the terrace criteria of nto being complex.

I don't get any of this. It would be nice to have an anthem yes.

But it has to MEAN something.

Who the hell is suggesting Stand by me? What the fook does that have to do with BWFC or really anything.

Anyone could pluck songs out and say that "this would be a good anthem". It needs to be something that evolves organically and becomes a part of tradition.

Not some random song from singstar that is imposed on everyone.

Anyways if we're voting for songs I go for Friday by Rebecca Black. Quality.

An ideal situation and a nice idea but something that hasn't, and looks like it never will, happen. All I want is a song, that can be sang on the terraces, and when/if we ever get to Wembley fans will actually respond to the whole 'here's a song all Bolton fans will know' charade.

I think the idea for an anthem is ridiculous. When I hear Liverpool or West Ham screeching their anthems it doesn't fill me with jealousy cos we've not got one, it makes me think what a bunch of silly pricks they all are. Has having Bubbles chanted every game done West Ham any favours this season? Shit like that is important to teams like them. We're better than that.

If we have to have one I think I'd prefer Wanky Wanderers; which is actually the nearest thing we've got to one anyway.
