It was a shot. My initial reaction was well that was almost very lucky, but his body shape is all wrong for it to even nearly be a cross. Once in a lifetime like. He was Bergkamp-esque on Sat, all round the corner flicks and reverse passes.

You can even see him look up and spot Sturridge. The reason he's used the outside of his boot is to get it behiond the defence, but away from the 'keeper for Sturridge to attack. No way was that a shot. If it had gone in, it would've been a shocker by the 'keeper
