Next Season's Captain
Will it still be SKD or would it be given to someone else?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Well this is a silly question isn't it
Re: Next Season's Captain
I think Wheater should nail down a starting position in the side before making him captain.

Still think we should have made Cahill Vice-Captain last season...give him an investment in the club...

Re: Next Season's Captain
It's going to be Kev, but I can see why people would want a defender to do the job.
Personally in a couple of years I'd give the job to Holden

It wasn't to make them play 'better' it was to encourage them to stay at the club. NEVER a good reason to give someone captaincy IMHO

Look it says on Vital Football that it should be Wheater. So it must be true.seanworth wrote:I think Wheater should nail down a starting position in the side before making him captain.

You'll probably be landed with Fabregas for a while now, I reckon, and he'll have a right strop on.Gooner Girl wrote:Arsenal did that with Henry and now Fabregas. Re: Next Season's Captain
I agree with this. In 2 or 3 seasons, if he stays playing as well he is doing for that time and continues to boss the midfield then imho it should be Holden.TKIZ! wrote:It's going to be Kev, but I can see why people would want a defender to do the job.

Re: Next Season's Captain
I hope not, he's a great player and has had a good attitude this year considering he clearly wants to be elsewhere, but i don't want players playing for the club who don't want to be there, especially not the captain, and i'd rather cash in on him whilst his selling price is at its peak. We have plenty of quality in central mid anyway and he's not the best captain.Bruce Rioja wrote:You'll probably be landed with Fabregas for a while now, I reckon, and he'll have a right strop on.Gooner Girl wrote:Arsenal did that with Henry and now Fabregas. Hope Coyle is wise enough not to give it to Cahill just to encourage him to stay - it will only backfire. Having said that, what kind of player is he? Does he have good leadership qualities? (would he like to be Arsenal captain next season if Fabs goes?!

Re: Next Season's Captain
If he continues to boss the midfield, he won't be here in 2 or 3 seasons.Gaz Tomorrow wrote:I agree with this.
