Probably not. Imagine shelling out for Sturridge - next time there's a target the manager/chairman/fans would be begging you to buy him too, and then you'd be basically in control of transfer policy.

Which wouldn't be a bad thing in my case obviously

I have to report that I shall not be buying Bolton Wanderers today. Or Scotts.

Twenty mil to the club and I'd have a door to door helicopter, a huge permanent hospitality box at the Reebok with Magees beer on tap, and hot Carr's Pasties in the oven every home match. The team would wear 1958 style strip with a Bolton badge with an elephant and no adverts. Outside the ground would be a top-class bronze spot-lit statue of Nat. The lads would run out to Glenn Miller playing American Patrol and goals would be greeted by a blast of 1812 Overture and two slim girls with flags. Selected friends only would be invited of course.. Best hope I never win it then hey?

Apparently, approximately £166 million will be transferred into my bank on Wednesday. I shall then be looking into buying land in the town centre for the new football stadium.

the robbin' flickers made it twice as hard to win as well as effectively doubling/trebling the price.

will continually roll over and 'top out' every six months or less , i reckon , by my shit maths.

one hundred and seventy million to one .

You could buy the club for much, much less than £100m.

But you'd then owe Eddie Davies about £95m.

Tango in agrees with BWFCi shocker! Let's get somebody in to make our players redundant for before we crank up the guillotine. An injury to Taylor or Petrov and no Moreno, whither do we go then? Bad as it seems, keeping Taylor is one of our better options right
now.

We'd have to consider the UEFA Financial Fair Play Rules if we fancied another European tour, of course...

Just play our new signing, that Ricardo Gardner fella. Reckon he could still do a better job on the left than the pair of them.

Just some prunes or the actual town?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
