Maybe when he's playing for ManUre but if he plays for Wanderers then I'm cool with that
It's all your bloody fault, we're even contemplating it.
Not this again!

Speaking of ex ManUre/Bolton combos I saw Mr Quentin Fortune in the middle of Manchester yesterday. He looked injured
Pfffft.

That said, I'd be happy to cheer on Sir Alex himself if he was scoring goals for us. Without wanting to start all that again, if you hate United more than you want to see Bolton succeed, it's a bit pathetic.
The two things aren't necessarily total opposites.

I want to see United fail. I want to see Bolton win.

Doesn't mean I want dmb's in the side. I'm fine with transfers - he used to play for them and now he plays for us - but loans means hs still plays for them.

If that's pathetic - so be it.

Wouldn't mind having Welbeck at the club but i'd prefer Sturridge back in Bolton. As for this Zimbabwean player aside from the obvious 'who is this guy' I just hope he's fairly decent and not another Collins Mbesuma.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has had a £5million bid for Barcelona’s young winger Jeffren Suarez accepted – and is battling against three Spanish giants to sign him.

Trotters chief Phil Gartside met the Champions League winners to discuss moves for both Thiago Alcantara and Jeffren – and got the nod to approach the latter.

The speedy 23-year-old attacker can go because Barca are trying to trim their squad and make way for new arrivals.

Jesus, it would be! Sign him up, and get Thiago on loan to come with him and keep him company

I don't know but he ticks the following boxes:

1. Foreign.
2. Over £4.5 mill.
3. Barcelona
4. Fast.
5. Under 25.
6. Foreign.

Tricky young winger/forward with a load of pace and a lot of skill, which means

A: yeah he's good

and

B: we wont get him

ah-ha ! The voice of reason.

I thoght it was just me that doesn't even recognise most of the foreign players names, let alone know if they are any copn when first linked with is.

It always seems like a huge game of "Emperor's New Clothes" where it's not done to say "who is he then ?". OK, a Barca squad player. Should be above average. But Welbeck's a Stretford fringe player & we're getting a grudging "oh, OK then, if you insist".

Nonetheless, it's a very interesting story.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Looks like he plays on the left, so I guess if we did sign him it would clear the way for Taylor to stoke.

Barcelona accpet Bolton's bid for starlet Jeffren
Jul 17 2011 by Alan Nixon, The People

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has had a £5million bid for Barcelona’s young winger Jeffren Suarez accepted – and is battling against THREE Spanish giants to sign him.

Trotters chief Phil Gartside met the Champions League winners to discuss moves for both Thiago Alcantara and Jeffren – and got the nod to approach the latter.

The speedy 23-year-old attacker can go because Barca are trying to trim their squad and make way for new arrivals.

Jeffren has also been offered to several clubs in swaps.

Bolton face competition from Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico Madrid – with Fulham also in the hunt.

However, Bolton are the only club to agree a fee for Jeffren, one of the successes of Spain’s recent Under-21 European Championship triumph, and an occasional player for Barca’s all-star side.Coyle also wanted 20-year-old midfield schemer Alcantara, but his performances and the interest of bigger clubs, such as Manchester United, meant that Barca put the Italian on a long-term contract, and even stopped a proposed loan move to the Reebok.

However, Bolton have been on Jeffren’s trail for some time.

Their spies have been camped out in Spain all last season and the reports are encouraging.

Jeffren can play anywhere across the front line and has the kind of skill that Coyle wants in his side.

The Scot’s main problem will be convincing him to come to England. However Barca would be happy to see Jeffren move to the Premier League rather than stay in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Coyle has been snubbed by Benfica coach Jorge Jesus in his bid to land Spanish attacker Rodrigo Moreno.

Chairman Gartside had set up a deal for the exciting talent in a flying visit to Lisbon. But Jesus now wants to use Rodrigo, who had been keen on a return to the Reebok after a season on loan.
Sounds like Thiago and Rodrigo are both no-gos :(

All I know about Jeffren is that he gets a lot of hatred here in Venezuela for being born here but snubbing the national team. I couldn't care less, he was raised in Spain, good enough for me. Also, I seem to remember he scored a couple in barcas preseason us tour a couple of years ago.

as a follower of bbva football and having seen him many times the fact that coyle is ctually looking to sign players like jeffren and thiago speaks loudly to me as a step in the right direction

jeffren is vey arrogant and would be great for bolton we allways have needed a player who can beat his man and this lad can beat 2 or 3 sadly due to this i cant see him coming but if he does this is similar to youri okocha or hierro signing when they were 20 it will be Awesome ^^

so glad i got my season ticket early this year ^^

Some Spanish websites are reporting it as a virtual done deal. 5 year contract.
Can't be true though because LK says we are skint!
