Bloody hell what a load of bollocks. We will sort out a new deal with Jussi given time. This is just part of the negotiation process. Agent puts a story out to put pressure on. Mirror are saying his talks talking have alerted City and Stoke, more classic agent planted story. We've seen it all before. Not worth getting knickers in a twist over. Jussi will be here next season. As for Al Habsi selling was the right thing, a second arguably third choice keeper for 4M is a good deal. And whether you like it or not Coyle sees Jussi as top choice whoever was here. Better 4M to invest than 4M sitting on the bench or on loan!

I thought there was a big fuss not that long ago about him signing a new three year contract? Anyway, he'll sign. On big wages again. He isn't moving his family now. Be reet. Far more important things to be worrying about.

Hoboh if we were trying to sign Sturridge but wouldn't pay him what he wanted immediately folk would be calling the club penny pinching bastards. You have no idea what Jussi wants, what he's been offered and even what the issue is, salary, length of deal, endorsements, etc etc. It'll get sorted. If he is being totally unreasonable then the club won't and can't bow to his demands. But this sort of thing happens with every player at every club.

For twenty odd grand a week I'd be quite happily knocking some folk off!!! never mind waving my arms about like a fookin' windmill moaning its everyone elses fault I'm glued to the goaline!
Face it who gives a fook about Jussi I'd have a robot in goal if it played well for BWFC and didn't start blackmailing the club every other year

Doubt this is going to be any major problem. Also assume the contract expires at the end of June just like everybody else's.

Yeah, because Jussi must be absolutely struggling to pay the bills on his current deal, I'm sure.

feck* sake, it's relative. You are well off compared to a homeless person, doesn't mean you'd be happy with a 50% wage cut even though you'd still survive!

On the face of it, it doesn't seem like great management if we've sold off one prospect and decent first-teamer to put our immediate future on one keeper, only to not have him sufficiently tied down

I'd send the feck* a DVD of some of the goals he's conceded over the last year or so tied to a repeated offer of the contract

Can't get too excited about this, TBH.

What's the point in having Contract "negotiations" if you just accept the first offer put on the table? The whole point is to negotiate.

IMO he's been a liability in the last few years and costs us quite a few points - he's passed it, he's not a top keeper anymore.

Doesn't command his box, rarely comes off his line to collect crosses, always seems to go down onto his knees early instead of staying upright on his feet, I think his overall technique in the last few years has been poor and he doesn't inspire the confidence that he used to when he was a decent keeper.

At 36 and already a multi millionaire what more does he expect from the club....a 1 year contract is about right IMO, the club should stick to its guns and if he doesn't like it let him leave - but it doesn't make much sense letting Al Habsi ago without this being resolved one way or another.
