Looking at the poor City defending today maybe Bellamy & SWP to Bolton plus £10m and Cahill this would do for me.

I am worried Cahill is going to leave at the last minute leaving us short at the back as well as up front!!

If Cahill is going to leave I hope the deal is done by the end of this week, leaving the rest of the month to recruit players. Looking at our squad at the moment does make me a bit on the nervous side.

You never know eaves and Obadejayi may come good??

Tals-biggest-fan wrote:Nixon's got me interested in this 'mystery player'....

He was in conversation with a tweeter @JamieWalsh93

Some quotes from the conversation by Nixon

"Mystery guy is not financially crippling. So it's a goer. Good lad too by all accounts. Ngog hard because Kenny needs him."

"Maybe not as quiet as I wanted on this one ... Two other Prem sides involved now. But Bolton better than them. #gameon"

"Moving well. There is opposition. So need to stay under wraps for now. U may sign three attackers altogether."

"Wasn't aware of his availability. Nice player. Coyley's type. Fingers crossed."

and his latest tweet....

"if u get the players u want u will be better than last season. And won't blow my handicap bet this time #stillpeeved"

Can i just ask what is his actually relationship with us because he is seemingly focusing everything on us!
He traditional has covered Rovers, but obviously is Coyle's mate and gets exclusives on any club he's been at. He recommended Coyle to Burnley for the job there.

He previously posted regularly on BRFCS mainly about Rovers but occasionally, about others including us. Judging from his timeline he seems to be enjoying the Bolton banter. Might have to get me one of those twitter accounts though he seems to have enough fans asking him questions as it is!

Rovers supporter and Coyle's bezzie.

Further down his timeline he said something about telling Alan Hansen not to sign for Bolton after a game with Partick because he'll make it at a bigger club. Alan Nixon, screwing BWFC around since the 70's!

He's not a rovers supporter, he supports a Scottish side!

Alan Hansen didn't play against us for Partick

His older brother John did

We wanted to sign John but he wouldn't come if we didn't take his brother as part of the deal

Diabolical defending. Hansen still makes me laugh on the old MOTD

This Nixon thing is intriguing but I have a feeling that we've been here before with him. I want to believe but am struggling to think who's not financially crippling and established Prem striker

Ah, ok. Just presumed. He's a blummin sadcase then. I doubt I'll get 10,000+ posts on here, never mind a club I don't support!

Maybe we can get him to transfer to The Wanderer. 8)

Cheers CAPS, didn't know the whole story.

just read this on a website speculating about Cahill to Liverpool..
At 6'2", Cahill would add significant stealth to the Liverpool defense.

From what I can tell there have been several very ITK posters on that board and Nixon used it as much for that as for revealing his exclusives. Good advertising for his stories, builds an audience and demand since I think he's freelance from what I gathered on there.

Probably using twitter in same way, but even better as he can get a massive audience and multiple clubs.

I think what he's saying will be accurate as the stuff on the Rovers forum was, but remember he's reporting deals very early and real time. There were loads of mystery targets on the Rovers board he reported that never came to fruition. Doesn't mean they weren't true and situations change quickly anyways!

Anyone looked at Bobo from Besiktas, Scored for fun over there and avaliable on a free, hes still only 26 and would surely be worth a punt. Any thoughts?

If he's a freelancer then it's good to try and drum up business but he's toying with my emotions. I like to hear who were linked with and he's got my spidey senses tingling about who this 'mystery striker' could be

I reckon if I link us with every f*cker in christendom, I'd end up getting a few right aswell.

WORLD EXCLUSIVEs

LK says we're looking for a striker. Can't say which one yet, but people might know him and he's a striker, doing strikery things.

BWFC may also want to sell Cahill.

Und so weiter...

And as I recall it was our very own Philly G that recommended Coyle to Burnley.

Apologies if this has been posted already. Don't know the quality of that site/paper either, although I'd reckon it's not quite so high.

edit: I just saw that the author is Nixon.

sorry CAPS that'ks wrong. He played against us in the Anglo-Scottish & we bid £100k for him.

They were on a cup run & held onto him. By the time that was over L'pool were on his case & it was game over.

I think that's quite unlikely don't you?

As for how much he's got right, he made first mention of Reo Coker, Pratley, Rodrigo, Alonso, Wheater, Coyle coming here, the list goes on. Too much for it to be pure coincidence. Whilst Coyles here for me he's the most realiable source we have by a mile apart from OC himself of course and official club news.

Don't suppose it matters either way, we just need to sign a striker and soon!

Well he's done his job well then. It's interesting stuff to read but I'd not get carried away till you see it in the paper and as I say things change very rapidly with football transfers.
